I had the honor of spending the day with Bob and Merle as their "gaurdian" on their trip to Washington DC with Patriot Flight. To this day I tell anyone who will listen about the wonderful time I had and the men I spent my day with. Bob had such a big heart and had a way of making you feel special. He wrote me a letter after the trip and included a picture. The picture is of Bob, Danielle(another "guardian") and I. I still have the letter and the picture has been in my office on my desk.My deepest sympathy to Bob's family. God Bless you my friend.

Bruce and I were neighbors of Bob and Zelda (Cinderella, as my son called her) for six years in the early 80s. We have always enjoyed them both, and this past year have missed Zelda. Now, we will be missing Bob as well. Our prayers go out to the family during these difficult days.

We were sad to hear of Bobs passing. Bob and Zelda were friends .We would all visit during the Christmas holidays. My parents were Lois and Edgar Coon. Dad is deceased but Mom is living with me as she is 93 years old. We pray that God is close at hand and will strengthen you all.

The legacy of the Colvins is awesome and remarkable. To have been so fortunate as to have known this family for the past 30 years has been one of life s greatest blessings. Mr. and Mrs. Colvin lived their lives in love of God, each other and each generation of their children. I have never known two such generous and accepting people; every life they encountered was welcomed and irrevocably changed for the better, including mine. I love them both for how they touched and improved me; and, I love them most for the family they created and formed in their likeness that has been so influential to me and mine. My prayers are with all of you and for them that they are at peace in His kingdom forever hand in hand.
