Frank Bailey Obituary
The draw of Laredo Texas was strong but his desire to serve his country was stronger. At 18, he enlisted in the Air Force hoping to serve in Vietnam but the government thought he would be more useful in Hawaii. He spent 20+ years in "paradise" slogging through white sand beaches and crystal-blue waters all while raising two sons, Frank Jr. and Brendan. He did his best to instill a solid work ethic in his children, however, despite his best efforts they chose careers as a college professor and a lawyer for a Fortune 500 company.
Shelley, his wife of 29 years, and brothers Jerry, Eli and Eddie (deceased) would attest to his enduring love for sweet pickles, pickled meats, deviled eggs, bologna sandwiches and Folgers coffee (no cream, no sugar). He was a lifelong jokester and loved camping, fishing, hunting and watching nature programs on TV.
He took great pride in his grandchildren Mia (14), Brooke (13), Blaze (10) and Brennan (8), all of which inherited his athletic prowess, prominent gluteal muscles and unusually long eye lashes.
Funeral services will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 AM. The family request funeral attire to be casual or Hawaiian.

Shelly, Frank Jr.,Brendan and family, I'm at a loss for words. May our Father in Heaven bless, guide and comfort you.
