Barach, Jack A. ALBANY Jack A. Barach, 96, passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2019, with his loving family by his side. The son of Maurice Barach and Eliza Levy, he was born in Albany and graduated from Albany High School and Rochester Institute of Technology. He was an independent insurance agent for over 60 years. He is survived by his wife, June Tucker Barach; and his children, Bruce (Irene) Barach, Lori (Rich) Strunk, Marc (Heather Gay) Barach, and Scott (Regina) Barach. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher, Bryan, Zachary, Eliza, Jordan, Kyle, Derek, and Justin Barach, and several cousins. A graveside service will be held in the Beth Emeth Cemetery on Turner Lane in Loudonville on Wednesday, March 20, at 1 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home of Latham.

June,Marc and the entire family, my sincere sympathy to all of you. Jack was my "boss" but to me he was a friend. He was the only reason I stayed with Anchor Agency. We have truly lost a great man and friend.

June, Bruce, Lori, Marc, Scot, their spouses & family, and all the grandchildren... The Quinn and Carr family are so sorry for the loss of Jack. He was a wonderful man and he will be missed. I (Kathy) have known Jack for over 35 years... Love and prayers to all.

Toby and I extend our sincere condolences on the passing of Jack. Jack was a terrific man. A family man all the way. And a fun guy to be around. 96 years......... How lucky you were to have him all these years. Where have the years gone. It seems like just last week I was driving back to Davis Avenue from Wolf Road at 3:00 in the morning with Bruce. And Jack was always there waiting, wide awake in the window. A great guy is now no longer with us but will never be forgotten.

Jack was among my fondest memories of the clients I worked with while I was an accountant with UKW in the late sixties and early seventies. Pleased to have a few moments to visit with him at Anchor Agency a couple of years ago. A wonderful man and gentleman.
