Ramsey, David FORT LEE, N.J. David Leroy Ramsey, 39, passed away on December 5, 2020. David was the son of Marjorie Raymond and the late Dr. Leroy L. Ramsey.David attended Mrs. Goodfriend's Nursery School at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He also attended Shaker Road Elementary School and South Colonie High School in Albany. He graduated from Half Hollow Hills High School West in Dix Hills, N.Y. where he excelled in sports, winning many medals and awards for his outstanding performance in track and field. He earned his bachelor's degree in communications from St. John's University, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Psi fraternity. After college, he pursued a career in telecommunications, and worked for one of the world's top law firms. With time, his career evolved and was focused in technology communications, leading him to become North American regional manager at one of the world's leading insurance companies. David enjoyed spending time with his daughter who he loves endlessly. He enjoyed traveling, attending sporting events, and living his life to the fullest. He was a loving son, a gentle soul, and he was loved by all who knew him. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Saundra Johnson and Carol Gully. David is survived by his daughter, Jenelle Ramsey, and her mother, Jennifer Sepulveda; his mother, Marjorie Raymond; his stepmother, Joan Niles; his sister, Julia (Sean) McPherson; and brothers Walter Ramsey and Howard (Tean) Rambsy. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Shameka Ramsey, Jermaine Ramsey, Gwendolyn (Alvino) Arrington, Dominique Ramsey, Phillis Rambsy, Howard (Psyche) Rambsy, Jr., Kenton Rambsy, and Andre Wallace; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Phillip Arrington, Nickolaus Ellsworth, Rowan Ramsey, Mariah Stubbs, Alyssa Ramsey, Carlos Adkins II, and Myles Ramsey. He is also survived by his fraternity line "Bravehearts" Earl Williamson, Carl Green and Ato Joseph, and many other friends and relatives. The funeral service will be private, and burial will be at a later date in Memory Gardens Cemetery & Memorial Park, Albany.
