Shirley was a Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League and member of the Miami Valley Bridge Association and spent many happy hours with friends in this pursuit. She was active in Shiloh Church on the Deacon Committee and the prayer chain and was especially devoted to her pets, most recently Barney and Bailey. Shirley and Jackson shared the love of sports, avidly cheering on their favorite teams --Ohio State Football, University of Dayton Basketball and

Atlanta Braves Baseball. Shirley requested that her body be donated to the Wright State University School of Medicine. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday, January 9, 2020, at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton, OH. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that contributions may be made in her memory to Shiloh Church UCC or an animal charity of your choice. I am sad to know that Shirley is gone from earth, but she will always be in my heart. I enjoyed knowing her through the years as a very sweet and kind person, cousin-in-law and bridge playyer with my parents. I send sincere sympathy to Karen and Laurie and families. I am sure she is sincerely missed and loved. Mary Howe
