James A. Helton age 73 passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Linda (True) Helton and was also survived by his cats Mighty and Callie. Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Weigel Funeral Home is serving the family.

James and his wife Linda are friends even though they feel like family / James had a big heart and would help anyone in need / he had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around / it is so hard to imagine he has been gone 3 years already / he is missed by everyone who really knew him

Jim Helton was a very special person / he would help anyone that needed it and was especially helpful to my sister and they a special repour and Kim's wife Linda is like a sister / his birthday will be coming soon in October and he will be watching over us from the heavens smiling and telling us get on with it lol / all that knew him miss him / may he RIP

I only just found out about my cousins death. James heroically served in Viet Nam and was seriously wounded in combat. Fortunately he made it home and recovered from his wounds. I remember growing up and swimming in the pool in his fathers back yard near where I grew up. RIP and thank you for your service.
