Wayne Thomas Eleton

Wayne Thomas Eleton, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on October 29, 1953, in Hamilton, Ohio, to the late Wayne Eleton and Lucille Eleton. He departed this life on February 18, 2026, in Norcross, Georgia.

Wayne was a dedicated surveyor, having built a successful career in land surveying. An outdoorsman at his core, Wayne found peace and fulfillment in nature. He enjoyed being outdoors and being on the golf course. Wayne embraced life with vigor, participating in events such as the first ever Peachtree Road Race, symbolizing his resilience and commitment to an active lifestyle.

His spirit was one of determination, shown particularly in his remarkable journey as a cancer survivor. After battling kidney cancer, Wayne completed the Peachtree Road Race one more time.

Wayne was not only known for his physical pursuits but also for his unwavering faith. He served as a deacon at the Church of God of the Union Assembly, where he impacted the lives of many through his kindness and guidance.

Wayne is survived by his children, Eric of Kenai, AK, and Lisa (Matt) and two granddaughters of Cumming, GA, his sister Cassondra Sinclair, and his brother Jesse Eleton, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Wayne's life will take place on February 26, 2026. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by the memorial service in the Chapel at 2:00 PM. Wayne will be laid to rest in Peachtree Memorial Park, with inurnment scheduled for 3:00 PM the same day.

Though Wayne has departed from this world, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
