Jeff Wingard, "Dad" as my dearest friend Shannon (& bro Ken know him), "D2" as i am honored to forever call him. A life beyond well lived! A rare & real life hero, the reason I am here today. I am one of many he showered with self worth, value, & confidence. Jeff blessed us with his "Thoughts & Prayers" everytime he said goodbye or closed a card (long before it was an everyday salutation). His two words were so authentic I feel them to the core of my being, always will.
The circumstances he met me under (almost 30 years ago) should have made him shake his head in disapproval (highschool shenanigans)....but he never did. Infact, he looked at me with great pride & amusement, always laughing at my jokes. He said he could always see through someones personality straight to their character, making me feel like mine was one in a million.
He was the parent we could ALWAYS go to no matter how big or small which saved my life (probably more than just that one time). I will always remember.
Jeff dedicated his life to being of service. He was the most proud of his kids, their spouses, aunt De, & family. His heart melted 1000% when Kaylin began to speak & named him Copa. I was so happy he moved to CA. I loved the holidays we spent, Tgivings, 4ths of Julys. Though my very favorite memory.....was when he hopped straight into the cool Pacific Ocean (without hesitation) to become a true local & go bodyboarding with us. We were all crazy & never laughed so hard, such fun! D2, i will keep your thoughts & prayers around me & your beloved family. I'm keeping the faith until we all meet again.
Love you so much,
Debbie Driesen also "D2"
