Lucas Hammons Obituary
Age 43 of Miamisburg passed away Tuesday March 14, 2023 at The James Hospital in Columbus, OH. Luke was a member of First Baptist Church West Carrollton, belonged to various basketball leagues, owned and enjoyed his race horses, a die hard University of Kentucky Basketball Fan, but most of all, sharing his love for Jesus Christ and spreading the word. Luke is survived by his parents Mark and Donna Hammons of Miamisburg, maternal grandmother Mona Hammons of West Carrollton, and aunt Deana (Lance) Pearson of Cookeville, TN. Funeral services will be Saturday March 18, 2023 at 12 noon at First Baptist Church West Carrollton 705 So. Elm St. West Carrollton, OH 45449. Pastor Scott Wells will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m.-12 noon at the church. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery following the services. If desired memorial contributions are asked for St. Vincent de Paul Shelter for Men 1921 So. Gettysburg Ave. Dayton, OH 45417. Arrangements in care of Sanner Funeral Home, West Carrollton.

Our family is so incredibly sad and sorry for the loss of Luke. We always looked forward to seeing him and spending the days together at Keeneland. We will truly miss him, his kindness, and friendship.

I got to know Lucas through Ky.
Basketball & horse racing. He was as passionate as me about both.
Over time , I came to know Mark
& Donna & why Luke was a special person.He was everything you would want your child to be!
I am shocked at his passing because the good ones seem to leave us much too soon!

Mark, Donna, and Aunt Mona - we are so sorry about Lucas´s passing. In reading all of the tributes to Lucas he obviously had a huge impact on a lot of lives. What a great, joyful, inspiring life. From the tributes to and comments about Lucas, he was an outstanding example of living a spiritual life. We hope you can take solace in knowing how much Lucas meant to everyone he encountered and pride in raising such an outstanding Christian man. I had started communicating with Lucas the last few months via Facebook mostly regarding the UK Wildcats. Would have loved to have continued those chats. RIP cousin and thank you Mark, Donna, and Aunt Mona (and Uncle Hub) for raising such a fine young man.

I'm so sorry for your loss Donna & Mark. I was just scanning some pictures a few weeks ago that I had of Luke to show him if I ran into him at church. He had these little league baseball cards and I had him sign the one he had given me. He was such a good kid. My prayers are with you and the family.
