Grandpa,
You gave me so much in life. You gave me my true love and drive for education. You always tried to teach me something every time you saw me. Thank you for giving me that foundation. Thank you for giving me goals and expectations. I think of you every time I try to give Maura a quick 5-minute lesson of some kind in the car. I know I hated it sometimes but thank you! You truly laid much of the groundwork for who I am today. You put such a value on education. You made sure I understood the impact it could have. Thank you for ensuring it was a priority in my life. I took so many of those lessons to heart. I first joined the student council in middle school because I wanted to impress you so much. That love led me to be the project professional I am today, and I cannot thank you enough for that. I hope you know you had such a huge positive impact on my life. I want so badly to talk to you about school. I want to tell you I did it, I finished school. Now, I am going back for more. We love you and we know you are always with us. I will think of you each Christmas as I crack our big The Night Before Christmas book to read and share with Maura each year. I am going to get a Christmas candle thing. You never let us eat Christmas dinner until it was lit because you knew how much I looked forward to it. You are always with us; may you rest in peace and let your mind be free!
With all of our eternal love,
Heather Bland (Granddaughter)
Charles Bland (Grandson-In-Law)
Maura Bland (Great-Granddaughter)
