Esther L. Jacques, 84, of Mill City passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Allied Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Carl DeWitt Jacques, in 2025.

Born on September 5, 1941, in Mill City, PA, she is the daughter of the late Ezra and Ellen Billings Bray and stepdaughter of Dolores Merkel Bray.

She attended Falls-Overfield High School. Esther dedicated much of her career to serving others, working as an aide at Tyler Memorial Hospital.

She loved crafting and baking, sharing her creations with those she loved. Additionally, she found great pleasure in traveling and camping. Winters held a special place in her heart as she enjoyed time with her husband at their condo in Florida. Above all, Esther treasured spending time with her family.

Esther was a member of the Mill City Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by daughters, Kimberly Yeager and husband Carl, Karen Coolbaugh and husband Art; sons, Kenneth Jacques and wife Michelle, Carl Jacques, Jr. and wife Sandra; sister, Blanche Colbenson; stepsister, Dolores Reigh; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held privately. Interment will be held in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

Arrangements and care entrusted to Marcho, Sheldon, and Kukuchka Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
