Kenneth D. Kerr, Jr., 78, of Monroe Twp., passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Complete Care at Lehigh Center.
Born on January 22, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, he is the son of the late Kenneth and Edna (Withero) Kerr, Sr.
Ken completed his education at Tunkhannock and Sayre High Schools, graduating in 1965. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a medic alongside the surgeons, stationed at the 24th Evac Hospital in Binh Long.
Following his service, Ken embarked on a successful career, initially working for Procter and Gamble, attended Keystone College, with additional work places of Chepps Cheese, Tuscarora Electric, Shadowbrook Bowling alley, and Procter and Gamble Warehouse.
Ken's passion for helping others was evident to all who knew him. He even was a care giver to his mom and Dad before their deaths. He dedicated 25 plus years to the Tunkhannock Community Ambulance Association, where he served as a crew chief, driving instructor, and a vital member of the Rope and Rescue and Dive teams.
Ken was a proud member of the Dennis Post Strong Legion for 50 years, highlighting his long-standing commitment to supporting veterans and honoring those who have served. He was also a member of the Meshoppen United Methodist Church where he was a youth leader for a period of time. He then attended the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church.
Leisurely he enjoyed watching NASCAR and local car races. He took great pleasure in riding and racing motorcycles along with being an avid bowler. Ken also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He greatly enjoyed going to the beaches of Jersey Shore especially Wildwood NJ.
He is survived by son, Karl Kerr; daughter, Heather Hadsall; grandchildren, Shawna Porter, Konner Hadsall, Emily Hadsall; sisters, Beckie Jones, Tina Oliver, Lisa House; brothers, Terry Kerr, Jimmy Kerr.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Deborah Kerr; stepmother, Dorothy Kerr.
Family and Friends are invited to attend Kenneth's funeral services which will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM, from the Marcho, Sheldon and Kukuchka Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 73 W Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with full military honors. Interment will be held in Wyalusing Cemetery, Wyalusing.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Sunday.
