Phillip H. Snyder, 50, of Scranton, PA. passed away after suffering a stroke with his family by his side on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Gesinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA

Born on May 31, 1975, in Tunkhannock, PA he is the son of William and Kim (Snyder) Severcool. 

He was a 1993 graduate of Tunkhannock High School and further pursued his education at Penn College of Technology. 

He worked for Offset Paperback and dedicated many years to refining his culinary skills as a chef. In more recent years, he showcased his creativity as an artisan, making beautiful jewelry that reflected his artistic spirit.

Phil adored the great outdoors, often found fishing, camping, and hiking. He derived immense joy from playing guitar and listening to music, experiences that brought him closer to nature. Phil also had a zest for life that was evident in his love for attending concerts.

Phil shared five beautiful years with his soulmate Gladys Theisen. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, cherishing every moment with them and creating lasting memories. 

He was also a member of the Forkston United Methodist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his soulmate, Gladys Theisen; brother, Scott Severcool (Shannon); sister, Brooke Padavan (Michael); nieces, Acacia Severcool and Emma Padavan; nephew, Michael Padavan; grandmother, Joy Severcool; several aunts and uncles. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William Severcool, Lawrence and Barbara Snyder. 

Phillip's legacy will live on through organ donations. 

Family and friends are invited to attend Phil's funeral services which will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM from the Forkston United Methodist Church, 203 Main St., Forkston Twp., PA 18629 with the Reverand Sarah Church presiding. 

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 North 3rd Street Philadelphia, PA 19123 or at www.donors1.org/give.
