Normand Beaudry Obituary

Normand Beaudry

Charlestown, NH - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Normand Robert Beaudry, a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Born on January 21,1936, Normand passed away after a period of failing health on February 28, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family and a longtime friend, at Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland, NH.

Born in Newport Center, VT, to Emile and Estelle, Normand was one of twelve children, ten brothers and two sisters. He often reminded us that it was on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 1941 that he and his family moved to Charlestown. Norm attended the local schools and in 1953, he graduated from Charlestown High School. He enjoyed a strong connection with his local community throughout his life.

As a respected builder and real estate broker his career included running Normand R. Beaudry Real Estate & Construction, serving as the president of the New Hampshire Home Builders Association for two years, and being named the New Hampshire Realtor of the Year in 1992.

Normand, a devoted family man, leaves behind a legacy of love and accomplishment. His passion for his work was only surpassed by his commitment to his family. Norm was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Antoinette "Toni" M. Carreau Beaudry. Together, they explored the country extensively, finding solace and joy in the enchanting landscapes of Sedona, AZ. Norm enjoyed gathering with family and friends, listening to country music and attending concerts, gardening, watching Red Sox and Celtics games, playing slot machines, and of course sipping on a "Perfect Manhattan". Later in his life, he also found pleasure in working on puzzles and playing cribbage and working in his wood shop at his home.

Norm will be dearly missed and remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and the enduring love he bestowed upon his family. He is survived by his sister Pauline Martineau, his sons Mike Beaudry and his wife Joan, Tom Beaudry, Dave Beaudry and his wife Jackie, and his daughters Ann Beaudry-Torrey and her husband Dana, and Natalee Roberts and her husband, Kenneth. Norm is also survived by his grandchildren: Chris, Jennifer, Trevor, Kirsten, Joshua, Rachel, Mollie, Megan, and Maddie, and many nieces and nephews, and three great-grandchildren: Kiera, Avery, and Bennett. May he find eternal peace in the company of his beloved Toni.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to his kind, skilled and dedicated caregivers both in his home and at the Maplewood Nursing Home.

Family and friends may come to offer their condolences and support at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street in Charlestown, NH, from 5-7 pm on Friday, March 22. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 23, at 11 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Charlestown, NH. A reception will follow at the Charlestown Senior Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in the summer.

Should family or friends desire, a memorial gift in Norm's honor may be made to any of the following organizations: Shriners, Maplewood Nursing Home Activities Department, David's House, or St. Jude.

Arrangements are with Stringer Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH 03743. To view an online memorial or send a private message of condolence, visit www.stringerfh.com.
