Elsie M. Elliott, 97

Jaffrey, NH - Elsie Mae Elliott, 97, of Jaffrey, N.H. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 10, 2024.

She was born October 9, 1926, in Peterborough, NH, the daughter of the late Henry and Olga (Oja) Beauvais. Elsie was raised in Jaffrey, NH and graduated from Conant High School. Until she passed, she was the oldest living graduate of Conant High School. Elsie was also a lifelong active member of the United Church of Jaffrey until her passing.

After meeting the love of her life at a dance held in Jaffrey, Elsie married US Navy Sailor William Guy Elliott on March 17, 1945, while he was stationed in Los Angeles, CA. In addition to raising her two sons, Elsie spent 35 years working for New Hampshire Ball Bearing. She enjoyed spending summer days by the pool with family and friends, traveling around the US and Nova Scotia with Bill to attend USS Ranger Ship reunions as well as cooking and baking for those who would find themselves around her table. Above all, Elsie loved to be with her family.

In Elsie's own words: "She was born, she lived, and she died." She will be fondly remembered as 'Nana' by so many that have met her along the way in the life that she lived to the fullest.

Elsie is predeceased by her beloved husband William Elliott, and son, Kenneth Elliott

She is survived by her son Gerald "Jerry" Elliott, wife Deborah Elliott of Jaffrey. 5 grandchildren, Jac Brown of Sharon, Candi Brickley and spouse Charlie of Milford, Lonn Elliott of Hillsboro, Megan Howell, and spouse William of Peterborough, Bethany Elliott-Thul and spouse Anne of Minnesota. 8 Great-grandchildren, Erica and Alexander Brickley, Owen, Isaac and Elyse Howell, Lance, Niko, and Dylan Brown. 2 Great-Great grandchildren Daylen and Alaria Brickley.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel immediately afterwards at 3:00 pm. Rev. Mark Koyama, of The United Church of Jaffrey will officiate.
