Winnifred Rae (Winnie) Dennis

West Lebanon, NH - Winnifred Rae (Winnie) Fellows Dennis died on April 13, 2024 after a period of declining health. She was born on May 6, 1936 in Lebanon to Henry and Ethel (Maxham) Fellows. Though Henry was not her biological father, she considered him Dad. Winnie graduated from Enfield High School on June 17, 1954 and married Harry "Red" Dennis on June 19, 1954. Their daughter, Denise, was born the following year and Winnie became a homemaker and provided daycare to several other children. In later years she worked at Kleen Laundry and Mascoma Savings Bank retiring after 35 years of service in 2015.

Some of her greatest joys were teaching Sunday School, being a Girl Scout leader, playing cards with her brother, being a "Grams" and her 35 years at the bank.

Winnie was predeceased by her husband Red, her brother Hazen Fellows, her sister Anna Fellows Cutts, her sister-in-law Ruth Dennis Hubbard and her parents. She is survived by her daughter Denise Dennis Shibles, granddaughters; Jackie and Mandy, and great grandson Griffin Ruest, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

An informal gathering/service will be held Wednesday, April 17th. A calling hour period from 10 to 11 with a brief service to begin at 11 at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon. Winnie's burial will follow in the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
