Eli Abrams Obituary

Eli Knapp Abrams

Florence, MA - Eli Knapp Abrams, of Florence Massachusetts, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 22nd, 2024 in Goshen, MA. Eli was born in Beverly, MA on March 19th, 2003. He is the cherished son of Jennifer and Maury Abrams, and beloved older brother of Cole Abrams. Eli was a 2021 graduate of Northampton High School, and was a member of the National Honor Society. He discovered a love of basketball late into middle school and pushed himself to make the team at NHS, eventually becoming a varsity player. His dedication to reaching his goals and the way that he humbled himself in the process is a point of pride for his family and will be a lasting memory. Those who were honored enough to know Eli will remember him as fiercely loyal, honest beyond measure, loving and affectionate, extremely smart, and not willing to play in small talk. Eli was an empath with an uncanny ability to read the room, and he insisted on getting down to the core of what people were thinking and feeling. He was a lover of animals, nature, music and art, and had so many talents waiting to be fully explored.

Eli, our love for you knows no bounds. Our respect for you is immense. When you left, you said that we would grieve you for a season and then move on, but you are wrong about that beautiful boy. We will be remembering, smiling about, and longing for you for eternity. Thank you for coming into our lives for a time and making them richer beyond measure.

In addition to his parents and younger brother, Eli leaves behind his grandparents Robert and Frances Abrams of South Hadley, Grandfather Russell Bishop of Ipswich, and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours are at Czelusniak Funeral Home in Northampton MA on Sunday, April 28th from 1-3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a small donation to the Dakin Animal Shelter in Springfield, MA or the Broad Brook Coalition of the Fitzgerald Lake Conservation Area.
