My husband and I grew up in Atlanta, and after college, moved to Dalton,GA. In the '70s we were standing in line to get on a cruise ship going to the Caribbean, and we met the three most delightful ladies standing in front of us. It was Martha, Nita and Caroline! We had a ball with them on the trip! Each day we met at 5:00 in the lounge and discussed our day. We hated to say good-bye at the end of the week, but promised we would stay in touch. THEN, a year later we ran into the three of them in Cashiers! They had a special friendship, and we were thrilled to be a very small part of it. We exchanged Christmas cards until Nita passed away, and now we have caught up once again. What a lovely lady Martha was, and how fortunate you were to have her for so long. We offer our heartfelt condolences.
