Glina Raffanti Obituary
She was born on December 19,1937 in Monette, Arkansas to the late John Wesley Merritt and Mildred Bratton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Regolo Raffanti and son, Paul Regolo Raffanti.
She leaves behind a son, David (Cindy) Raffanti of Rossville, Tennessee; a daughter, Angela (Mike) Farrish of Auburn, Alabama, a daughter-in-law, Sandra Raffanti of Oakland, Tennessee.; 7 Grandchildren, John Raffanti, Brittni Raffanti Schwaller, Justin Farrish, Chris Farrish, Joe Raffanti, Brooke Raffanti Smith, Maria Raffanti Smith and 11 Great- Grandchildren.
She loved and adored her family and friends and was as a true Southern lady with a strong Catholic faith. She was beautiful inside and out with the biggest heart and saw the good in all and would rather give than receive, reciprocation was important to her. Glina loved going to the Orpheum, matinee movies and grandkids activities. She also loved singing, dancing and listening to the 50's. Her favorite shopping place was Antique Malls as she was a natural at decorating, loved nature, flowers, U of M Tigers and her favorite charity was St. Jude. She is truly loved and will be missed by all.
Funeral services for Glina will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Riverside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation an hour prior to the service starting at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Glina, was indeed a wonderful individual. We met in a church Circle and became friends, We giggled together and also worshiped together. I was truly honored to have made many drapes for their home. She loved her hubby and family so very much and yes she loved to decorate and browse the antique stores. We moved to Minnesota and made 3 other major moves and we lost contact with one another. Many wonderful memories. I feel so blessed to have known Glina.

Oh my, I was simply looking for my friend of so many years ago and found her death notice. Glenda and I met in our Church Circle back in the 60's...we actually modeled together in one of the fashion shows. Our love to explore the antique stores was another mutual interest. Then Glenda thrilled me by asking me to sew her drapes for their home. That entailed many "shopping trips" which provided us with many giggles and fun times. She adored her family and 3 children where simply precious. Our move out of Memphis in 1971 was devastating to me to leave such good friends...but I am so thankful that our paths were the same for many years. May God bless each of you in the loss of Glenda.
