Jacqueline Lapienski Obituary

JACQUELINE LAPIENSKI

Easthampton, MA - Jacqueline Packard (Currie) Lapienski, 65, of Easthampton, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 8, 2024, after a long illness. She was born and educated in Northampton and was the daughter of the late John (Jack) and Celeste Packard.

After graduating from Northampton High School in 1976, Jackie earned her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate and held various nursing positions for over 23 years. She later worked as an administrative assistant in various private and civic assignments before her retirement in 2018.

Jackie loved spending time and making memories with family and friends and her greatest joy was being "Grammie" to her precious grandchildren. She also loved doting on and thoroughly spoiling several cats that were lucky enough to become family members throughout her life.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 24 years, Stephen Lapienski, son Seamus Currie, daughter Courtney Currie Brousseau and son-in-law Jamie Brousseau and her beloved grandchildren, Willa and Theo Brousseau.

She is also survived by her brother Michael Packard, and sisters Joyce Rescia and Susan Orszulak (Tom), her sister-in-law Mary Inguanti (Paul), three aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A special thank you goes out to the staff at Fisher House Hospice in Amherst for their kindness and care of Jackie during the past several weeks.

As per her wishes there will be no formal services.

Memorial contributions in Jackie's memory can be made to: The Northampton Survival Center, 265 Prospect Street Northampton, Ma 01060 or Dakin Humane Society PO Box 6307 Springfield, Ma 01101-6307.

Very saddened to learn of Jackie's passing. I last saw her at Czelusniak's when my father passed. Jackie and I were close friends at grammar school age. I have very nice memories of our friendship. My condolences to her family.

Jackie was loving, fun and kind. She was loving to her family, fun with her friends and kind to everyone. Steve was the best person to have ever entered her life. Bill and I enjoyed all our visits with you both every chance we had. She was my closest and dearest friend since childhood. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you Steve, Seamus, Courtney and all of Jackies' family. Even though she is in a better place and with the Lord, she will truly be missed. Rest peacefully now, Jackie. Steve, take care.

Jackie was a wonderful friend and neighbor. Seamus, Courtney, Padraic and Jenny, along with Jackie and me, had some great times having picnics, celebrating specials events, going to the beach and more. She was a fun loving person as well as caring and engaging. Our deepest sympathies go out to you Courtney and Seamus. She was always in your corner with love and support. And Steve, Jackie was so blessed to have you in her life. Patte and Harry
