Theresa Pickett

Easthampton, MA - Theresa Pickett, 52, of Easthampton, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 surrounded by those who loved her dearly. She was born to Linda and Laurence Pickett on February 27th, 1972 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA. Theresa graduated from Easthampton High School in 1990, studied at Marist College, the University of Massachusetts, and earned her bachelor's degree in International Business Management from American International College. Theresa worked many jobs over the years. She most valued her time as administrative assistant to US Representative Richard Neal in Washington D.C.

Theresa was deeply committed to caring for her family and she had a special dedication to her mother, Linda, always ensuring she was supported and loved. Theresa enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and traveling to the beach, woods and mountains. She had a loving and adventurous spirit and she was a true friend to everyone she met. She had a memorable, effervescent smile that reflected her kindness and warmth, and a laugh that was contagious. As an animal lover, Theresa shared her life with many cherished pets, including her faithful, beloved dog, Zoe, and an assortment of cats, fish, chickens, and birds that she lovingly cared for.

Theresa is survived by her mother, Linda Pickett; brother, Ralph Pickett; nephew, Grayson Pickett; and sister, Suzanne Burke. She will also be deeply missed by her many aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.

Calling hours for Theresa Pickett will be November 9th, 11am - 1pm, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton, MA.

Donations in Theresa's memory can be made to the Thomas J. O'Connor animal shelter.
