Dear Monica. Our families knew and loved each other dearly. Your Mom remains a beautiful soul. Always so kind to me, I know how much she loved the close friendships in the Trinity Couple Club and at Trinity Presbyterian Church. I still work and had hoped to attend on Friday.I send you love and my heartfelt sympathy.Peace be with you.

I was a student in Mrs. Scott's 6th grade class at Westwood Elementary School in 1963. She was by far my best and favorite teacher of my developmental years (K-8). Mrs. Scott was kind, smart, inspiring, wise, caring and beautiful. My first crush. I learned how to speak up for myself in her class along with all the academics. I am very saddened to learn of her passing today. I am equally saddened that I lost track of her after Westwood and Roth HS. I never got to tell her "Thank you" and how much I enjoyed her class. She gave me my first opportunity to teach due to a severe ice storm I had a 2nd grade class for 1 1/2 days.. I loved it; went to Central State University, and became a 6-8 grade teacher in Jefferson Twp and Trotwood, OH schools for 36+ years. I have had a great life that arguably wouldn't have taken the path mine did but for the good fortune of having Mrs. Scott as my teacher. Mr. Scott was a principal while I attended Roth HS (Class of 1970).
God Bless her and I hope her spirit continues to cruise ... I never forgot Mrs. Scott.

A wonderful, wonderful person. My sixth grade teacher at Jefferson Township Elementary school, Mrs. Scott was smart, funny, and classy. Condolences to her son whom I remember fondly.
