Teresa Sullivan Obituary
Teresa graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in 1990 and pursued her education at Delta State University earning a bachelor's degree in education. After graduating, she taught at Memphis City Schools and later became a home health care professional.
Teresa's family will fondly remember her for her generous and giving heart and knowing that she received more blessings and experienced greater happiness from giving rather than from receiving. Those most often on the receiving end of her kindness were her many nieces and nephews as she cherished her role as their aunt. Teresa's final act of selflessness was the gift of life through organ donation.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph P. Sullivan, Jr. and is survived by her mother, Domenica Sullivan; sister, Maryann Lafferty (Patrick); brother, Joseph "Joey" P. Sullivan, III (Ashley); nephews, Andrew (Maggie), Ryan and Luke Lafferty and Joseph "Little Joey" (Tate) and Matthew Sullivan; nieces, Brooklyn and Sydney Sullivan; and great-nephew, Drew Lafferty.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on December 3, 2024, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 1425 E. Shelby Drive, Memphis, TN 38116.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Teresa's name to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church or The Society of St. Vincent DePaul of Memphis, Inc.
