Janice Roy Obituary
Albuquerque, NM - February 1935-Dec 2024
Our Mom, Janice Roy was born February 1935 in Concord New Hampshire. She was adopted by Amos & Lillian Lewis and raised in East Concord. She spent most of her life in Penacook, before moving to New Mexico in 1993 with her late husband, Edward O. Roy. She had a great sense of humor. She was an Artist, Pianist, gardener & lover of Poetry. She spent the last 11 years of her life struggling with Dementia. She is survived by her daughter Leslie Jenks of N.M Robin Roy of Portland, Maine. Cyndie Roy of N.M. and son Scott Roy and wife Claire of Ruidoso, N.M. Also her 5 granddaughters. She will be interred with her late husband, Edward at the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

I bought the house at 5 Church St in Penacook from Jan and Ed, we corresponded for quite a while but it trailed off. I always wondered how she was doing. I knew about Ed's passing. Very sorry to hear that she had a tough time with dementia. My condolences to the family.

My Mom and Jan´s birth Mom were sisters. So we were first cousins. I had the pleasure of meeting Jan in NH with her birth sisters. It was an absolute pleasure to meet her and spend time together. We corresponded for a while until dementia made it difficult. I send love and prayers to her family.
