Kathleen (Green) Scott, age 79, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, January 13, 2025 surrounded by family at Hospice of Dayton. Kathleen was born in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Daniel and Chalus Green. She retired from Hewitt Soap Company after more than 35 years of service and from Sam's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Scott; her parents; her brother, Phillip Green; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clay and Mary Scott; brothers-in-law, Earl (Ruby) Scott, Earl Harris, and Eugene (Vaughnell) Scott; and sister-in-law, Pauline (Howard) Huddleston. Kathleen is survived by her son, Jason (Kim) Scott; sisters, Barbara Harris and Judy (Floyd) Germain; brothers, Bobby (Tina) Green and Leroy Green; sister-in-law, Beverly Green; nieces and nephews, as well as many other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Dayton National Cemetery (4400 W. Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428) on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 10:00 am. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Thomas Reid's staff at Kettering Health Cancer Center for their loving care through the years as well as Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Kathleen's memory.
