Julie, I am so sorry to learn the passing of Marc. He was frequently an honored guest on our sports talk show on 980 WONE-AM and I learned so much from him as one of the most respected baseball writers and sports columnist in the country. His insight into the inner workings of the front office and club house of the Reds and Indians was priceless. He was a true "Old School" baseball writer and I was lucky to know and work with Marc. My deepest condolences, Flash Minor

I was very saddened to learn of Marc´s painful exit. He had many definitions. He was a devoted son, a tolerant brother, a loving husband, a gentle father and a joyful grandfather. Always with a warm smile and a soft voice. He was a treasure and respected and loved by many. Rest in peace dear Marc. You deserve it.

Knew Marc through my years of work at the Big Ten Conference, and with Barry. If his stories quoted a Big Ten Conference source it was likely me. I had such mad respect for him, and even though we hadn´t talked in years I am sad to hear he passed. May his memory bring comfort to those who lived him.

Marc´s recall of decades of interviews with coaches, players and descriptions of stories from the golden era of The Dayton Daily News sports coverage was phenomenal. But, above all, he loved his family and community. -30-
