Marc L. Katz

Marc Lawrence Katz, 73, currently residing in Woolwich Township, NJ passed away peacefully at home on February 10, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in New York City and raised in Manhasset, NY, he was the son of the late Bernard Noah Katz and Joyce (nee Brody) Katz. Marc started out as a draftsman and worked his way up to being an electrical engineer, working for Henderson Engineers, Inc., based out of Phoenix, AZ. Throughout his life, he had his two passions which were music and photography.

Marc is survived by his wife, together for 18 years, Jeanne DeVirgilio; his son Nicholas Apicello; his brothers Jeffrey Katz (Sally) and Edward Katz (Rosalie); blended family including Keri-Lyn Sharpnack (Rob) and Jill Boardman (Chris); Logan and Emery Sharpnack, Oliver and Lucy Boardman and Aubrey Schweitzer. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Sandy Katz and Jeanne's son Michael Schweitzer.
