Margaret Garner Obituary

Published by Legacy on Apr. 23, 2025.
Margaret Nunnally Garner, 79, a beloved sister and cherished friend, peacefully passed from this life on April 20, 2025.
Margaret was born on February 2, 1946, in Holly Springs, Mississippi, to the late Willie and Jonnie B. Nunnally. She attended Douglass High School, where she enjoyed being part of the majorette team. Margaret had a passion for family, dancing, music, and shopping, which brought joy to her life and to those around her. She began her professional career at Block Drug Company in the 1970s, continuing with the
company after it became GlaxoSmithKline. A dedicated employee, Margaret retired in 2009 after over 30 years of service. A woman of strong faith, Margaret was a devoted member of Featherstone Temple CME Church. She served faithfully on the Steward Board as the recording steward, member of the finance committee, and an usher until her health no longer allowed.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Jonnie B. and Willie Nunnally Sr.; her siblings R.B., Chester, Quincy, Willie Jr., Larry Nunnally, and Marie Nunnally Thompson.
She leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Andy Nunnally (Addie), along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Her warm spirit, vibrant personality, and deep love for family and faith will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
