Willa Grammer Obituary

Willa Jean Grammer, 84, of Bartlett, TN, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025. She was born October 28, 1940 in Waterloo, AL to Orville and Pauline (Carney) Turpin. She attended McCormick High School in Truman, AR. She moved to Memphis in 1960 to work at Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph. She became a stay at home mom after her son, Brad, was born. She was of the Christian faith and was baptized at New Hope Christian Church in 2004. She later attended Eudora Baptist Church in Eudora Mississippi. She enjoyed gardening, canning her fresh grown vegetables and fishing from her pier. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben; brothers, Denvard Turpin and Danny Turpin; sisters, Barbara Olivier and Faynette Cross. Survivors include, her son, Brad Grammer (Martha); grandchildren, Morgan Thiele (Jordan) and Brannon Grammer; great grandson, Brooks Thiele; brother, Jackie Turpin and sister, Geraldine Farmer Funeral service will be Thursday, May 1, 2025, 2:00 pm at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with Brother Steve Albonetti officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm, until time of service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill East. Pallbearers will be Brannon Grammer, Greg Grammer, Glynn Grammer, Jeremy Grammer, Jordan Thiele and Dustin Turpin.
