Marvell Isom Sr.

Marvell Isom Sr who was affectionately called "Red" by his friends and family departed from this life on June 5, 2025, at the age of 81.
Marvell was born December 6, 1942 as one of seventeen children in Holly Springs MS to the late Floyd and Elizabeth Isom. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Isom Chapel CME church. Marvell attended Sand Flats High School in Holly Springs MS where he received his High School Diploma. He later moved to Memphis TN with siblings, and began a career in manufacturing and welding. He later transitioned into the automobile repair industry where he worked as an Auto Mechanic until he retired in 2021. He was united in holy matrimony with his late wife Caletta Evans Isom on April 14, 1970. From this union was born Dana Renae Isom (deceased), Marvell Isom Jr. and Shawana Patrice Isom. Marvell was a quiet man by nature but his love for cars would quickly bring him out of his shell thus he was often recognized by his yellow truck. He was a devoted father and a loving husband that would gladly lend a helping hand to both friends and strangers whenever asked.
Marvell leaves to cherish his memory two sisters Bernice Snow (JW) and Lorise Myatt (Sylvester); three brothers Edward L. Isom (Claudette) Henry Isom (Beverly) and Wilfred Isom. He also leaves his grandchildren Jaidyn Isom Fowler, Chance Isom Fowler and Bella Kirk as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
