Helen Reed Obituary

Helen "Arnita' A. Reed, 88, of Olive Branch, passed away from this life Thursday, June 5, 2025, at The Pinnacle Assisted Living in Southaven, MS. She was born August 11, 1936, in Bono, Ark to the late Clyde and Leota Cox. Arnita was retired from the City of Memphis Police Department. Her greatest joy was found in the company of her beloved family and friends. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Arnita was preceded in death by her husband Richard "Dickie" P Reed and brother Robert Cox, sisters Goldine Templeton and JoAnn Davis. She is survived by her son CDR Randall P. Reed, (Kimberly) and daughter Janet C. Samples, (Tommy); 5 grandchildren: Brian C. Samples, (Lindsey) and Blake T. Samples, (Sarah), Nolan Paul, Adelaide Marie and Sadie Kay Reed; a sister Joyce Griffin from Jonesboro, Ark; a brother-in-law Michael Reed (Diane) from Long Beach, MS; a special sister-in-law Chlorita Cox from Jonesboro, Ark.; and 2 great grandchildren Ada Cate and Emma-Thomas Samples. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Tuesday, June 10 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church at 8455 Germantown Rd. Olive Branch. MS.
