Phyllis Wilson Obituary
**Mrs. Phyllis Nadine Wilson (née Rogers), 82, of Cordova, Tennessee**, passed away on July 23, 2025 in Cordova, Tennessee. Born on January 9, 1943, in Hillsdale, Michigan.
Phyllis graduated from Hillsdale High School, where she met the love of her life, Bobby Wilson. They married shortly after high school, and she went on to dedicate her life to her family and homemaking. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where love was abundant and laughter frequent. She poured her heart into raising her family and supporting those around her with unwavering devotion. Phyllis lived according to Christian values that guided her. Her kindness was matched only by her resilience-she faced life's challenges with grace and an unshakable spirit.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Isabella Wilson and Isabella's spouse Mary Balsamo. Phyllis's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Logan and Stephanie Wilson, Kyle and Kelley Wilson, Bobby and Kelly Wilson, Ian Balsamo-Wilson (Joycelynn), and Dante Balsamo-Wilson (Infinity). Her joy multiplied with each new generation-great-grandchildren Lexi and Brandon Boula, Kali and Clayton Owens, Abbi Wilson, Naden and Wade Wilson, Solar Wilson, Lexi, Leah, and Jackson Wilson-and great-great-granddaughter Lila Owens.
Phyllis is also survived by her daughter Isabella Wilson, daughter-in-law Mary Balsamo, sister Jean Titus and brother Ned Rogers (Penny). She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Isabel Rogers; husband Bobby Gene Wilson Sr.; and son Bobby Gene Wilson Jr.
Affectionately known as "Tuffy," Phyllis brought joy wherever she went. She was a proud member of the "Red Hat Ladies," where she held the title of "Purple Hat Queen" for several years-a role that suited her vibrant personality perfectly. Whether donning a bold hat or stirring a pot at a local chili cook-off (where she often claimed top honors), Phyllis embraced life with enthusiasm.
Her creativity shone through in the jewelry she crafted by hand. She had a deep admiration for gemstones-their colors, textures, and meanings-and transformed them into beautiful pieces that reflected both elegance and care. An avid reader and card player with passion for dancing and gardening, Phyllis found beauty in words, movement and nature.
Above all else, Phyllis was a shining example of warmth, humor, integrity, and unconditional love. Her presence was a source of comfort to many; her strength inspired those who knew her; her legacy will live on through generations touched by her compassion. May the memory of Mrs. Phyllis Nadine Wilson bring peace to all who loved her-and may we carry forward the light she so generously shared with the world.
