Kenneth Terrell Bobbitt, age 76, resident of Hickory Valley, Tennessee and longtime resident of Macon, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday morning, July 22, 2025 at his home.
Kenneth was born January 16, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Robert Junius Bobbitt and Rebecca Miller Bobbitt. He received his education at Fayette County High School in Somerville, Tennessee and was employed at Troxel and Smurfit-Stone Container for many years before his retirement.
Kenneth was a member of Macon Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, cutting wood and raising pigs on the family farm. He loved and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sitting on the porch and drinking Dr. Pepper was a favorite pastime.
Mr. Bobbitt is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Heismann (Jeff) of Oakland, TN and Kristy Berretta (David) of Hickory Valley, TN; two brothers, Tim Bobbitt (Julia) of Bolivar, TN and Rudy Bobbitt (Debbie) of Oakland, TN; seven grandchildren, Cody Heismann (Katie), Brittany Berretta, Wesley Berretta (Taylor), Drew Heismann, William Kyser, Tyler Kyser and Skyla Kyser; and four great-grandchildren, Ember Berretta, Gunner Berretta, Bentley Berretta and Avery Heismann. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life for over 20 years, Betty Jean Bobbitt.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bobbitt were held at 1 P.M. Friday, July 25, 2025 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Hospice Chaplain, Pastor Brent Pearce. Interment followed in Macon Cemetery in the Macon Community.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were David Berretta, Wesley Berretta, Cody Heismann, Jeff Heismann, Tyler Kyser and William Kyser. Honorary pallbearers were Drew Heismann, Rudy Bobbitt, Tim Bobbitt and David McDowell.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Alzheimer’s Association, 3150 Lenox Park Boulevard, Suite 402, Memphis, TN 38115.
