Catherine Sidney "Cathy" Coop Longoria, age 67, went to eternal rest on Monday, July 28, 2025. She passed away at home after a brief battle with cancer.
Catherine Longoria was born on April 30, 1958 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a loving wife of 48 years and was survived by her five daughters, fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was known for her kindness, warmth and loved by her family and friends.
During her life, she worked at telephone sales and later was the owner/operator at Summer Avenue Auto Glass in Memphis, Tennessee. She will be missed by her family and numerous friends.
Mrs. Longoria is survived by her husband, Armando Longoria; five daughters, Amanda Longoria, Josie Pine, Jennifer Carter, Elisa Locke and Mary Ann Longoria; two sisters, Sherry Rudkin and Toni Greer; her brother, Terry Wayne Coop; fourteen grandchildren, Penny Gay, Jacob Reid, Brittney Allen, Autum Bouwer, Nekhia Longoria, Haley Longoria, Fernando Locke, Vincent Whitten, Dacian Locke, Ashton Carter, Adrianna Evans, London Longoria, Monica Longoria and Jericho Longoria; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sidney Coop and Wanda Marie Cates; and two sisters, Carla Jean Coop and Penny Gail Maness.
A visitation for Cathy will be from 12 noon until 1 P.M. Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Memorial Services will be at 1 P.M. Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Pastor Todd Wilson of Munford Baptist Church, officiating.
