William Griggs Obituary

William F Griggs

Warner, NH - William F. Griggs, age 81, passed away on July 31st at home in Warner, New Hampshire. William was born March 28th, 1944 in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Frank and Ellen Griggs. He is predeceased by his first wife Patricia Kovacs, his second wife of 37 years Carol Bliss and his younger sister Patricia Walter. He is survived by his older sister MaryEllen Whitney; Also his children from both marriages, and their families. Thomas Griggs and his wife Laurie Cass-Griggs, Michael Griggs, Francis Griggs, Katherine and Reed Fry. Bill was also a very proud and loving grandfather to his grandchildren Cody Griggs, Chloe Griggs, Mason Griggs, Sadie Griggs and foster grandchildren Tristan and Leah Green, and Noah Cass.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman, a writer, a poet and a gifted musician. He taught his children how to fish and hunt. He loved to explore the back roads, beaver ponds, fishing holes, and tell stories with his kids. In the 1970's Bill played guitar and sang professionally at various establishments and corporate social events. He passed his musical interests to his children who sing his songs to this day.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for William held Wednesday Aug. 13th 11:00 am at St. Theresa's in Henniker, New Hampshire. Memorial contributions can be sent to the American Lung Association.
