We want to extend our sympathy to the family of Charlie Faulkner. He was an extraordinary person and it was an honor to have known him and to know other members of his family.

The town of Stoddard residents will always be indebted to Charlie for his support of the Library and for his land stewardship example. He was a lovely soul and generous man.

Charley Faulkner was a mountain of generosity when it came to his children´s friends, who were welcomed into his and Charlotte´s world with such warmth.
I am his daughter Nica´s best friend from Williams College mid 1980s days when Charley and Charlotte showed up religiously to greet our exhausted crew as came off the water after races in New England.
They brought an overflowing trunk of doughnuts, bagels, cookies, apple cider and were so positive about our races that you´d think we won.
Charley welcomed our friendship group and the Williams College environmental studies community into the bosom of Andorra the family farm, where we walked, laughed, ate and reflected through sun and snow.
It was a joy and privilege to spend occasional time with Charley, Charlotte and Nica over recent years. Especially the time we watched Charley´s favorite movie, "Harvard beats Yale 29-29" which I have since recommended to many Australians as a window into the marvels of America.
Vale Charley Faulkner, an adventurer and caring human who touched so many hearts and minds including mine.

Such a rich life for one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of knowing in the Upper Valley. I presented numerous Dartmouth projects to the Planning Board with Charlie as chair. He was always very fair and unfailingly polite. My condolences to his family.
