It took me a while to write this because I couldn´t find the words. I was speechless, I know hard to believe. I will miss my morning greetings with you and our afternoon chats, and the banter in between, especially about your Barron´s magazine. I´ll miss walking into your office in my Mighty Mouse voice, "Here I come to spend your money," and the way you´d laugh and shake your head. D.D. Bean is not the same without you. You were such a steady, kind presence. You were always thoughtful, always generous with your time, and always ready with advice, humor, or a story. You were a kind man and I had great respect for you. So many stories that I enjoyed over the last two and a half years. I felt like I had known you forever. I´ll miss our conversations about work, life, and everything in between. You had a way of making people feel seen and valued, and I was lucky to have that with you. You were right about so many things. You once told me, "I don´t know everything, but I do know a little bit about a lot of things," and I think that was very true-especially coming from a Harvard student. And yes, you were right about Mondays too. You said you can´t have a good Monday... they will forever be crappy. Delcie, rest easy with your beautiful wife, Marney. You will be missed more than words can say. I was by the dam the other night and there was a beautiful aurora display, and I like to think that was your farewell.
