Brent A. Bourbeau

Florence, MA - Brent A. Bourbeau, 65, of Florence, Massachusetts passed away on Feb. 19, 2026, at his home. Born on Nov. 3, 1960, he was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Margaret, and his sister, Beverly Jennings. Brent leaves behind a sister Barbara Gibson, and several nieces and nephews.

He earned his Black Belt in Karate at a young age and obtained many trophies. Brent loved fast cars and motorcycles, of which he had many. Shortly after graduating from Franklin County Technical School, he joined the Navy.

Brent battled addiction for many years, but through it all he loved his family and his friends. A long-time Turners Falls resident, Brent moved to Florence, Massachusetts 3 years ago and turned his life around.

There will be a celebration of Brent's life, a gathering for family and friends to be held at a later date. The family asks that you give someone you love a hug or a call on the phone today.

Sorry to hear of your passing my friend. My heart and prayers go out to all family and friends. I´ve known Brent for many years. He´s even stopped kids from bullying me. Of course I also know him from Tech School and parties around town. Rest well my friend.

I remember Brent from the tech school he was always so polite and kind to me which I truly appreciated. Brent you will not be forgotten sad to hear of your passing,I remember talking with you about karate at which you excelled,Rest Easy my Friend,you were a great and personable person well like,loved and cared about by so many.

Rip big guy. you always had a very polite hello every time I saw you. I have one great memory of you at a basketball game at pioneer during halftime bunch of people are standing and someone asked you how well do you know karate? you had those big waffle stomper boots on and you threw up nickel and hit it in mid-air with a roundhouse and you could hear the nickel smack against the glass and everybody just stood there in aww!! Classic

I would like to offer condolences to the family and friends of Brent. I knew of him from going to Franklin Tech also. He seemed bright and energetic and friendly.
Later years running into him he would always exchange greetings with enthusiasm. I rarely saw him without at least a few people around him engaged in some random conversation. All seemed quite entertained!
