Frank was `The Deal´ in the Urbana/Champaign County area. Everyone knew him for humor, dedication to a better life for all, friendly to the extreme, interested in so many helping ventures and proud of his family. Deep condolences to his family and close friends.

Frank was a great guy, truly a gentle soul. I played in a number of local bands with Frank. He was always willing to drop everything and pick up his trombone.
One time Gov. Strickland came to Champaign County to dedicate a water plant in St. Paris. I was charged with putting a band together on a practically
non-existent budget. I formed the group, arranged the governor´s favorite song, "Happy Trails," and slipped a little cash into each musician´s folder
to cover their gas expense. Sometime later while sorting the folders, I noticed Frank´s money was still there. I drove it over to his house and practically had to stuff it in his pocket to get him to take it.
Another time my little girl had a high fever, and we rushed her to the hospital here in Urbana. The doctor was busy, but Frank was there training EMT´s.
He said, "We´ve got to get this fever down," and proceeded to do just that.
Great guy and a good friend . We will miss him - and Rosa

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I was a junior in the Urbana high school marching band when Frank did his student teaching there. It´s wonderful to read about the amazing life that he and Rosa had together

I never had Frank for a teacher or I was never in the band, but Frank was well loved by all the students. He will be missed. RIP Mr. G.

Frank was my driving instructor back in high school in 1974. He was a great guy and I would have never been able to Parallel park without his help. He had a 4 step instruction that made it simple. There were 3 of us in the car learning and him instructing. We all spend alot of time talking and listening to his storys. He had alot of patience with teenagers. A fine man and was like a father to many of us. RIP Mr. G
