Stephen D. Breeding

Stephen D. Breeding, 54, of Rushsylvania, OH, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 7, 2026, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Stephen was born on December 10, 1971, in Dayton, OH, a son of Roxie Pennington Breeding, who preceded him in death and Udell Breeding, who survives in Miamisburg, OH.

Stephen is survived by two sons, Spencer (Candice) Breeding of Carey, OH, and Presley (Jessica) Breeding of Kenton, OH, a daughter, Suri Breeding of Kenton, a granddaughter, Penelope Breeding, his father, a sister, Michele (Todd) Compton of Florida, a brother, Mark Breeding of Miamisburg, two nieces, Danielle (Tommy) McKenna, and Haley Compton, and a nephew, Zack Compton.

Stephen attended Miamisburg High School. He worked at Thermoid in Bellefontaine, OH, and at Ultra-Met in Urbana previously. Stephen enjoyed being outdoors, listening to music and going to concerts, watching college football, riding motorcycles and keeping his truck maintained. He was an avid OSU Buckeyes fan, and loved spending time with family and friends, especially during cookouts and playing cornhole. Stephen had a charismatic personality and did not know a stranger, making friends wherever he went. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be 5:00 pm, Friday, March 13, 2026, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview, with visitation from 3-5 pm at the funeral home.
