Another Memorial Day without you . This is the year 2020 and because of Covid 19, a world wide pandemic there will be no parades. Maybe parents will instead teach the meaning of the Day to their children. Something I think has been forgotten. Love you , always.

The years go by and many more servicemen and women have made the suprememe sacrifice. Here in Europe we have regulary been the subject of terrorist attacks on civilian targets.
For some reason, probably the Irish name, I always think of William whenever I read or view reports of military casualties.
We value our freedom and those who defend it.

I have a memory to share. Will had a friend that had a trans am. So one night he decided I was going to learn to drive this car. It was in my aunt Kate's driveway, her drive way was really steep. So I started up the driveway and got to the top and it scraped against the bottom of the car, I swear I thought I tore out the muffler. It scared me so bad. Will just laughed at me.

There is not a day goes by that a song I hear reminds me of you. I share the stories of you I remember with the kids. You truly were a brave soul. We love and miss you.

I miss you. I think of you often and talk about you a lot. I tell my kids stories of how you used to pick on us. You were a prankster and now a guardian angel. I know you were there at my accident trying to keep me safe. I miss you. I love you. You were the best uncle ever. Well i got good news yesterday i get to start walking again. I am so happy. I wish i could pick up the phone and call you. I wish i could hear your voice. Dad misses you. I can't believe its been almost 9 years. I need to post you little hi notes more often. I look at all the pictures and just cry. I never had a brother and you were the closest thing to it. I'm sure the family thinks of you often. I love you.

Tom and I will be moving from "Brightside" in Suffield. I just have had to take down the Wall of Honor in our entry way which was created to always remember you and USMC CPL Stephen R. Bixler of Suffield, CT (sacrifice date May 4, 2006) It will be with great gratitude, reassembled at the cottage in Maine...Maine offers an abundance of simple life and so much freedom. Thank you William for keeping us safe to behold it here in America.

Memorial Day weekend again. People don't understand why this is the hardest of all holidays to get passed. Growing up we would honor the 'old' soldiers that had gone before us, that's how I always looked at it. Not remembering & honoring our younger brothers or sisters or friends. You should all be here by our side at the picnics and parades. We should be past all the wars, we should have evolved as a world of peace. It seems we go backwards to much. I hope your sacrifice has not been for nothing. You had hoped your service would lead to your children and mine never to have to be in a war ever. I will never forget you or any of our fallen heros who have sacrificed so much. To this, I honor and remember you not just Memorial Day but everyday. Love and Miss you very much.
