Trevor, Every now & then I think about the people that have touched my heart & I think of u... & I smile;) Ur beautiful eyes, pale skin, dark hair, tall & super handsome.. U made it easier to go to school at Irvin HS everyday just to take a glimpse of u, it made my day! I didn't get the pleasure to befriend u, but as insignificate as it may seem the encounters that u & I had were very special & meant everything to me at that time. I was a lower classmen but it didn't stop me from wishing.. Lol;) we had a mutual friend/classmate & he always got bombarded w/ me asking about u.. I don't remember his name but he played basketball w/ u. So, as a every day routine exchanging classes during the day, I so looked forward crossing ur path.. Waiting to give u a great big smile as my heart stops beating while u & I hold eye contact & u in return with a very sincere & friendly way, smile just 4 me... This shy yet flirty way of acknowledgment of what be shared that were just seconds... But seemed like a life time of sparks that only we saw, are moments that are so dear to me. Not to mention this mutual friend of ours gave me a message from u, telling me, u thought I was cute;) U MADE MY DAY.. Trevor, I was able to see that u were a very sincere good hearted person! Trevor u r in a better place looking out 4 ur love ones, u r missed! Thinking of u Hilda;)

I knew Trevor very well while he lived in K.C. We shared some great memories. Although I lost touch with him I have been blessed to have had him in my life. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all friends who his life touched. He was an absolutely amazing person.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

It broke my heart to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
A part of me went with you,

A million times I've cried.
If loving could have saved you,
You would have never died.

Two big brown eyes at rest,

“Paid in Full”
To Honor The Service of Fallen and Injured Marines

Marines through and through, they paid the price
Six thousand miles away, we live the life
For which they paid with their blood, spirits and bodies
We will never forget what they paid in full

We hope and we pray that somehow their loved ones find comfort
In God, in the flag, in the memory of their loved ones’ bravery
They’re gone now but we see them still…proud, strong, willing
Covering each other’s backs… courageous, moving forward

What kind of love did they have for us to be willing
To give it all for the Black, White, Jew, Christian, Muslim?
We don’t comprehend but we honor you now and forever
You are Our Marines…some living…some not
Forever in our hearts we will cherish your lives

Lives too short yet immortal they’ll be
Highest brotherhood of the Few, the Proud
They stand at attention, and we gaze with awe
Some know their names not, but our admiration for them
Flows limitless within us, between us

They sacrificed their limbs or their lives
Freedom still rings, a soft sound across the miles
It tolls slowly; all of creation takes note
Of the lives that were lost for people unknown

Out of sight but not lost; forever among us
The starched blues marching straight
Toward the place where we will meet them
Many years from now…how we loved them…
Well done beloved Brothers and Sisters…You’ve paid it in full
Always Faithful Marines, You Have Paid it in Full

I only recently heard of Trevor's passing. I was devastated to hear of the loss of such a wonderful friend and person. I worked with him at Jazz in Kansas City and we were extremely close friends. He even let me cut his hair off when it was passed his shoulders and he let me dye it blonde! Trevor had a great philosophy and helped so many of us through different rites of passage. I will always admire his wisdom and his respect for life. We shared so many memories together, and I will continue to share them in order to keep his memory alive. He was very dear to all that he met. I was very proud when I heard that he had enlisted into the Marine Corp. How lucky we are to know that there are more men like Trevor, who are willing to give their own lives so that we can enjoy ours. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Psalm 23

1

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!

My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!

Remembering

Go ahead and mention my child,

You know, the one that died.

Don’t worry about hurting me further

The depth of pain doesn’t show

Don’t worry about making me cry.

I’m already crying inside.

Help me to heal by releasing

The tears that I try to hide.

I’m hurt when you just keep silent,

Pretending he did not exist.

I’d rather you mention him

Knowing that he has been missed.

You asked me how I am doing.

I say “pretty good” or “fine.”

But healing is something ongoing.

I feel it will take a lifetime.

Miss me... but let me go

When I come to the end of the road

And the sun has set for me

I want no rites in a gloom-filled room-

Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not too long

And not with your head bowed low

Remember the love we once shared

Miss me... but let me go

For this is a journey we all must take

And each must go alone

It’s all part of the master plan

a step on the road to home

And when you're lonely and sick at heart

Go to the friends we know

And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds

Miss me... but let me go.

Jewel: There are no words to ease your pain or express the emptiness we all feel over the loss of Trevor. He was a true hero in every sense of the word and we thank God for men like him that are so willing to fight for our freedom. You can be very proud of your son. God bless you and help you through this the darkest of times and bring you to peace. Much Love.

Jewel,

Know that Trevor left this world trying to make it a better place for future generations. He was part of history in the making and will always hold the title of US Marine.

Ronald Reagan said it best..."Most men spend there lives wondering if they made a difference, Marines don't have that problem!"

He is now our Guardian Angel and I know he will bring his brothers home safely.

My Deepest Gratitude to Trevor and Love to You. Monique

Bob, Cathy, and Jewel,

It is with deep sorrow that we offer our condolences on the death of Trevor as there is no greater loss to parents than of a son or daughter. We hope that you are somewhat comforted by how proud he made you as his son. First and foremost, he is a hero and gave the ultimate sacrifice, the last measure of devotion to our country for which we will always be eternally grateful. But also the happiness he gave you as a thoughtful, dedicated son and the fact that he knew and appreciated your unquestionable love for him.

I felt really fortunate to be able to talk to him on the phone when I was visiting you last summer as I was given the opportunity to thank him personally for his service to our country. And although our family will never get the chance to get to know him better like we had planned, we will remember him as one who made a difference - a truly remarkable young man who acted on his beliefs and realized the importance of family, friends, and his comrades in arms.

You know we are always here for you.

Love,

Jack, Estelle, Justin, and Stephanie

Jewel,

Mere words cannot express my thoughts and feelings at this time. As a Marine Mom myself, we share such a passion when it comes to our sons. Sorrow and emptiness have a presence these days. Love, Pride and Respect will fill the days ahead. Trevor was and is our Hero.

The pride I feel for our Marines is immense. The sacrifices being made for us are immeasurable. You have my love, my respect and my gratitude for raising such a wonderful young man. You and Trevor will always be in my heart.

Love,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I appreciate Trevor for being a hero and loving his country so much that he gave his life for our freedom. I wish I could say something so profound that would help you in some way, but I know that is not possible. I can tell you that my heart and prayers are with your family. My son is also a marine. He served about 71/2 years and recently received his discharge.

He too was in the 1st Battalion 23rd Marines out of Houston, Texas.

I know God will hold your heart in his hands.

Sincerely,

Matt Lawrence
