Doc not a day goes by that I do not think about you. You cared about us as if we were your children. Ben, I do not know you but I am a brother in arms. I just watched a show that depicted you as a humanitarian in an unhuman place. You were more interested in Saving than Taking Lives so god holds a special place for you in heaven. Hopefully when my time comes we will get to meet. If you're friends and family get to read this I just wanted everyone to know that your loved one has touched tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of hearts and he's still doing it today you so in order for this to happen he cannot be truly gone. God bless all you are in my prayers forever

Hey Yahudah,
It's been a long time now but I still think about ya from time to time. You were an awesome friend. You were literally the very first friend I made when I got to Stewart. We met in reception and were friends from there on. It seems like the good ones are always taken away way too soon. Well I just wanted to leave a note saying hey and that I'm think of you.

Benyahmin, we miss you. It is almost surreal that over ten years passed since you left this earth and rose to heaven. I know that I speak for all of us in 1/64 when I say that you are truly missed. The amount of people you touched (with your healing hand) and the rest of us around you is immeasurable. The smile that could light up and energize a room will eternally burn bright in my memory. You remain on our mind all of the time and know that you are an angel who watches over all of us now. We miss you brother!!

My Dearest Love,
God I can’t believe how long it has been since you passed from my life; sometimes it still feels like it was yesterday instead of 5 years ago. You already know how much I still miss you and think about you every day. I miss your beautiful, contagious smile with that cute little gap between your two front teeth! I miss your arms wrapped around me holding me tight and your fingers intertwined with mine. I miss the sound of your voice on the other end of the phone. I miss everything….
People keep on telling me that it will get easier over time but a broken heart never heals. Mine was shattered when you died Ben and even though I was able to piece most of it back together, the scars remain and some pieces were never found again. You will always be my first true love. I was lucky to have you in my life and will forever be changed by you! Loving you and being loved by you taught me so much about life and living. You helped me to experience the greatest joy in life and your death has made me experience one of its greatest sorrows.
Forever & Always,
Your Girl

Hello,
I represent PRAYER SHAWLS 4 FALLEN SOLDIERS (PS4FS), an organization that since October 2007 has sent over 2,700 prayer shawls to military families who have lost a loved one. We are an organization of over 240 groups from all over the country. We make every effort to reach families even when post cards are returned after they have moved. Would you kindly send me a contact email/address so that we may send a loving hand made prayer shawl to the family? Thank you!

I went to Basic Training with Yahudah, the one thing I remember most vividly is how hot it was in the barracks and he would get up and open the window in Dec and freeze everybody out. I was deployed to Iraq at the time that he was taken from us, but I was in a different area and I did not know about it until a few weeks ago when I was looking at all the people and counting all of those that I knew. I was SHOCKED to see Benyahmin had passed. It has been 6 years since ive seen him, and Im very sorry for the loss of such a caring human being.

To the family of Benyahmin B. Yahudah,
I am the mother of Evan Andrew Marshall, buried close to your son, Josh Reeves, and Marion Flint,Jr.
I visit all four of our heroes killed in this war almost every day. Jean Reeves visits Benyahmin also, and told me where to find him. I stand with great reverence before all four graves and honor their service. My son was killed 7 months ago, so I am relatively new to this. I think you are from Bogart and my husband, Andrew Marshall and I are listed in the Bogart directory. If you ever need to talk or I can help you in some way, please call.

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Benyahmin, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

Hey Doc, Its been a really long time since you have been gone. I still feel your prescence a lot around me and I think of you often and remember you to the fullest. Your story and how you changed my life is one i tell often to me fellow comrades. Funny to think after all we had gone through that even though we all promised I would never joined that here I am in the army now and serving like you did. You are my reasoning for being here. You motivated me through basic training and remind me everyday why I am doing this and making me remember how happy I am to finally make the difference like you did. I didn't choose the same job but hey I did commo instead makin sure we all stay in touch. I miss you an awful lot. I wish I could speak to you like I used to but that aint happenin. Madison is pushin 3 now and talking up a storm and oh shes so gorgeous and so happy and Cassie shes 4 now and bout to start school and is so excited. Thier both so very beautiful and I wish you could see them now. Cassie remember you when I talk about you. I miss you DOC. I always will. I remember you and I never will forget how you changed my life by simply saying go home and take care of yourself. You saved me that night that one little night with one little sentence changed all my decisions. You are cherished forever and I will continue to talk about how you made a difference and how you will be remembered here in this life and how we still fight to make sure there is a 100 percent come home rate. There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

To my dearest Benyahmin,
Hey baby, wow, I can’t believe that it has been two years since you left this world. God how much I miss you. It has been so much harder for me this year to deal with everything, being here in Iraq, you are constantly in my thoughts. I’m no where near where you were stationed, but just being here, in the same country where you died, where the worst day of my life took place is difficult for me to deal with. Have I told you how much I miss you yet?
There still isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about you. It might have something to do with the tattoo on my back that has your name on it ? but it’s true. I keep thinking about how different my life would be right now if you hadn’t been taken from it. You’d be a PA by now, or a Helicopter Pilot (you never could decide which one you wanted to do more) we’d probably have at least one child, getting ready to build that army that you wanted.
I haven’t stopped loving you, missing you; and I can’t stop asking why? Why was your life taken from mine? WHY? I don’t understand I won’t ever understand. You were such a beautiful person, so kind, so loving, so funny. I miss that gorgeous smile of yours, those beautiful lips, I miss everything about you.
I’m still taking care of Lucky for you. I didn’t bring him to Iraq with me, I figured one person crying their eyes out were enough, but don’t worry; he’s receiving the best of care. He was extremely upset about me leaving to go to Iraq, I keep on telling him that I’ll be back, but he says that he’s heard that before and that that person never did come back. I think that he’s lost his trust in us soldiers. He misses you too, I let him wear your bronze star that you were given and he likes it. It makes him feel a little sad, but also so very proud. I’m proud of you too babe. I don’t know if I’ve told you that before, but I am.
Well, babe, I think that it’s time for me to finish this letter off. I can’t read what I’m writing anymore due to a constant flow of tears. I know that I haven’t said anything in this letter that you don’t already know. I feel you with me; I carry your spirit with me always. You will always be my first love, my everything. I love you I love you I love you.
Your girl forever and always,
Anne

Another Fallen Hero ~ we understand what you are experiencing and feeling. No amount of words can ease the pain of your loss. I know first hand there are no words of comfort at this time. My heart breaks as I sign another guestbook of such a courageous soldier who gave his life so selflessly. May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved and remembered by those who knew him as well as strangers who admired his courage and sacrifice. God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and made the ultimate sacrifice. My deepest condolences, sympathy and prayers go out to the entire family. May God grant you peace, strength and comfort in such a difficult time. I will keep your family in my prayers along with all the families of our American Hero’s. Thank you.
My family and I are thankful for the Bravery, Courage, Determination and Service to fight for our country (our freedom), from you, my son and all the others in our armed forces for the sacrifice made for us. You all will not be forgotten.
We also have a Marine daughter and Marine son-in-law. To the Family
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our hearts go out to all who have died in war. A scripture that may offer some encouragement is at Isaiah 2:4b. There it states "Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore." In the future God promises that wars will not exist. That certainly is good news to hear for all of us. We send you and your family our deepest condolences.

Well Benyahmin, it has been a whole year since your life was taken from me. Sometimes it seems like yesterday when i got that phone call from your sister informing me of what had happened to you. I tried to come to the funeral and say goodbye but I was shot in iraq. I go to his memorial tree everyday and I talk to the tree just as if he was standing there. I miss his laughter and smile the most. He had such a wonderful personality. I have never met anyone quite like him. He had so many friends here on post who all miss him. To his family if I could have taken his place I would have. I know that he is looking down on all of you right now. God Bless you and I hope the best for all of you. Yahudah was my bunkmate all four months of medic AIT. I still remember that first day as bunkmates, hating the fact that we were stuck together, only to change to mutual respect when I found he is of the nation israel, and he found that I could say the dinner blessing in hebrew and had exposure to Judaism. We traveled in different social circles, but we talked everyday, and I often found myself surprised in understanding from him on topics I thought he'd find offensive. We had a lot in common, and I miss him greatly. I still remember when he first started talking with Anne, and I will always remember the last time I saw him before deployment. Your pain and loss are not felt alone, but by all.
With Deepest Condolences,

To Doc's Family,
I was with your son when we were hit by the vbied. I was his driver. I sit here today and still wonder why it wasn't me and he would be sitting here in the hospital recovering. Im so very sorry for your loss. when the blast went off i was throw a ways away and recived a shattered leg. i tryed to get to doc but i couldn't. then the other medics came and i made them go to doc first. Doc was a great person. He was the best at wat he did and for that i am very grateful. The day before we got hit, we stopped to help some locals that were shot in a drive-by. if doc wasn't there those men would have died. Again i am very sorry for your loss, if there is anything i can do just email me and i will do wat i can.
Doc~
I miss u man. As you are in Heaven with Zeigler and Sgt. Morris, look over the guys and put your guarding arms over them so they may come home safely. thank you for everything you did down here. YOu are in my heart forever.

Hey Baby, i miss you. Today was a really difficult day for me, but i know that you already know that. I know that you are watching out for me, i can feel it in my heart. Last night i had a terrific dream about you. Everything felt so real that when i woke up, i had forgotten everything that happened. I found myself happily day dreaming about the plans that we had made together and i kpet waiting and waiting for your phone call at 1700. It never came Benyahmin, and that's when i remembered. I love you still Benyahmin Yahudah with all of my heart and soul. I miss you so terribly much.
Your girl forever and always

I have just learned of the death of Spc. Benyahmin B. Yahudah. As the State Chaplain of the Georgia Sons Of The American Revolution and speaking for our President, George Thurmond and more than 1,400 SAR members around the State of Georgia, may I most humbly express the condolences of a grateful Society. PFC Strange, wrapped in the integrity of service to our nation and the inestimable values of duty, honor and country, stood on a wall of freedom for us all. His life and his love of country epitomized every attribute of patriotism the Sons Of The American Revolution hold dear. And, as Americans, we could never repay the debt we owe him ..!! Nor the debt we owe you… his family!!!

You were an awesome person to know thru basic and a.i.t. The world is a much sadder place without you in it. I will always remember how much easier you made life in training. Your easy going nature and your open smile. You will be missed

As a Jewish Veteran, I understand the sacrifice Spc. Benyahmin (Ben) Yahuda made for all Americans and the people of Iraq. Many others have returned home alive thanks to his skills as a medic. G-D will greet him as the hero he is. To the Yahudah family: G-D bless you and forevermore bring you the peace you deserve.

My heart saddens to know that a soldier of mine was taken away in such a senseless fashion, for such a noble cause of trying to bring peace to a torn nation. I was SPC Yahuda's Platoon Sergeant when he first came to Ft. Stewart. He talked to me and asked me about how it was over in Iraq when the War first started. All I could tell him was, what I saw and how we all dealt, But he had strong concerns about doing a greater good, than being a hero, I said "Yahoo", That's what I called him, because he kept making funny of my first name. We had many laughs about that, I said do your job and however big or little you may think it is, that would the best anyone would expect of you. I teach medics at Ft. Sam Houston now, and SPC Yahuda will always be a part of my teaching of why we do what we do, and how important a combat medic is to any soldier deployed or not. You will be greatly miss by me and the Desert Rogues of old "CUT'EM DEEP" Soldier Medic

I had the privilege of being the Medical Platoon Sergeant for Benyahmin Yahudah. He was an extraordinary Soldier, Medic, and especially Person. He took the notion of "above and beyond" to another level. It is said that one person cannot make a difference, but I beg to differ. This man affected so many people, not only the numerous lives he saved, but just with anyone that he met. His larger than life appearance and big smile positively impacted everyone that he encountered. He will NEVER be forgotten by all of his friends and loved ones in his platoon. I will miss him dearly and there will always be a hole in my heart for Benyahmin. I am honored and blessed for knowing and serving alongside this "Gentle Giant".

Our hearts break for you, the family, the friends and dear fiancee of Benyahmin. We can not begin to imagine how tremendous the loss of your precious son and loved one, so young. What he did for our country and for the freedom of another was truly noble and most brave. We thank you for the ultimate sacrifice that he made for our country, and for us. When you think of him, know that he is smiling down of each of you, his loved ones, from Heaven. May our Lord's peace be with you always.

I'm so sorry to hear about my beloved friend. Benyahmin was a very special person to me. When I first met him at Athens Tech , he extented his kindness and sense of humor. I will always remember his jokes and the fun nights hanging out downtown. To the family , I want to extend my condolence and may you always cherish his memories in your heart as I will always remember the good times , the great jokes and words of encouragement that he gave. I was checking the 'Honor the Fallen' website and learned about the loss of Benyahmin. Although I did not know him, my husband and I are both retired Army veterans. I feel that every American should grieve each service member that is lost in combat. They are our best, our bravest and our most loved sons and daughters. Strength to all of you during this most difficult of times.

I know that no words can take away the pain of losing your son, your brother and such a great young man. I was lucky enough to have had the good fortune to serve with Benyahmin and will always remember him for the GREAT person that he was. He was a FANTASTIC Soldier and no one could ever have wished or asked for anyone better. It was truly a blessing having Benyahmin in my Company, but even more so having him as an inspiration for others to follow and to some day achieve what he was able to do. Benyahmin was one of the most unselfish people that I have ever met and to lose such a man is something that is very hard to overcome. I know that all of the Desert Rogue family has lost a brother and I know that he will not be forgotten by any of us. I was humbled and honored to attend his funeral and I am very thankful for your family inviting us to come. Always know that while Benyahmin may not be with us physically, his spirit lives with us and we will not let him down. We know how much he believed in what he was doing. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers and will always cherish the time that we got with Benyahmin.

To the family of Benyahmin Yahudah.
I am the mother of another fallen hero from the 3ID. My son, SPC Rafael "TJ" Carrillo, was killed in action on June 28, 2005. I understand the pain you are going through now, and I also know the pride you must feel knowing that your son made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There are no words that can erase your pain, but please know that Benyahmin will not be forgotten, and your family will remain in my prayers forever. God Bless.

Thank you Benyahmin for being the caring person that you are. You always had a smile and a smart mouth comment everyday. Some people never change. You were always the same whether at school, home,or downtown. It is hard to believe that you can never take part in another Passover here on Earth. However, since you died with honor serving our country,I know you are resting in the bosom of Abraham.I will miss you little brother.Shalom.
To my sisters, Benyahmin will always be alive in our hearts. We can not erase our pain by simply forgeting what he stood for in the military and the civilian world. His heart was the size of all of ours combined.Benyahmin touched lives everywhere possible. He is a light that will forever shine in our hearts.
To Ema,
Thank you for raising a man that had enough compassion to give so freely of himself to others outside of the family. He will always be your second son. May you find peace, comfort, and strength to live for another day.
To the Family,

Must have put a smile on the face of God,
When he saw the Children and Benyahmin arrive.
Must have been the happiest day of his life,
To come face to face to God and think I'm alive.
If we're judged on how we die
How could he not be a Saint,
He was brave,We may grieve but he knew what he was facing each day.
And wondered why do people hate.
Thank you Benyahmin. God hold his family in your arms.

As a member of a local Georgia Troop Support website and most of all an American, I thank your son/brother/finace' for giving his all for our country. He had to be a special person or he wouldn't have been giving out candy to less fortunate children in a country that we're at war with. That in itself shows what a huge heart he had. I am very sorry for your loss and you have my deepest sympathy.
