14 years. Seems like yesterday. I miss you so much still, not a day goes by that I think of you. This is the day that I allow myself to cry and cry, to release the built up grief, but I feel better afterwards. I still pray for Jesus to give you a hug and a kiss on the cheek from me. I love you dearly and miss you terribly. Till we see each other again in heaven. Love, Mom

Not a day goes by, not an hour, that I don't think about you or the impact you had on my life. Words can't describe how much you are missed here in town. All of those years growing up I was proud to be your friend but little did I know as kids that I was hanging out with a true American Hero. I remember the last time we talked. I randomly saw you at Meijers about a week before you left. Had I known it would be last time it would have been different. Instead it was just small talk, a good firm handshake, and promise to enjoy some beverages when we saw each other again. I sure can't wait for that day buddy. I think of you everday. It still hurts but has been the ultimate motivator. So on this weekend with the current events in our hometown, I tell people to remember you. I know I do!!!!!

I wish it hadn't taken me so long to write this. Not a day goes by I don't think of Chris and the time we where able to spend in bravo company. I wear a remembrance bracelet with his name everyday. His family has laid the ultimate sacrifice on the alter of freedom. We can never appretiate that sacrifice enough. It was an honer to serve with all member of 1/24 especialy Chris.

As I read about Chris, my eyes swell with tears for a great man I never knew. It is evident what a hero your loved one is. Your family is my prayers as well as every other solider (and their family's). Although I never met Chris, I am grateful for his contribution in protecting and serving our country. Chris, I think about you every day and thank you every day. We were like brothers in school, but life chose to draw us into seperate directions. Even though I've lost family members in the course of life, it has never been so hard. It has almost been 2 years now, but I can still remember the day I got the news like it was yesterday. I'm trying my best to do the most for my family, community, and country because that's why you, and hundreds of thousands of others like you, paid the ultimate price. Freedom isn't free has never meant as much to me as it has since Dec. 28, 2006. We all miss you here in town and are doing our best to make sure that everyone who ever steps foot in Vassar knows that a hero lived here. Semper Fi.

i still cant believe that you're gone chris. it still doesnt seem real. i dont know if its that i dont want to except it or what but i swear i still expect that phone call from you in the middle of the night to hear about your night. you are so missed chris. tim mcgraws new song "if your reading this" makes me cry everytime i hear it. especailly the last part when it talks about you being in a better place where you are at peace and angels sing amazing grace. i just cant wait until i get to see that smile again one day.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

It was an honor and privilege to have known you. For the rest of my days I will refer to you as "hero". I have never been prouder of being a Marine and knowing that I was in the same club as someone like you. You are the bravest man I have ever known. You should have gotten a medal just for getting off the plane in a place like that. Where does such courage come from? In my heart I know that you are with God in glory, but I still weep when I read your name or see your picture. I'm so honored that you made a special trip to see me before you left for Iraq, that you counted me as a friend and confidant and that you wanted to "touch base" with an old Marine like me before you left, for a little advice. I'm sorry that my advice was not good enough. I wish that I could have gone in your place. I've had a good life and yours should have been so much more. I promise I won't forget you. I promise to mention you in all of my prayers. And when my time comes, I will meet you in heaven and relieve you from your post so that you may rest. We are comforted to know that our Marines are serving their country with such honor and bravery. Words can't even express the pain that everyone who knew Chris is feeling in their hearts right now. To Chris's family, you had a great son. I met him at Bavarian Inn in 2004 and we have been friends every since. We would often talk on the phone when he was over in Cali, and every conversation left me with a smile on my face. He had a way of touching people with his heart. Just know that your son will never be forgotten. He is my hero, and that will never change. I miss you Chris.

I've worked with Chris when he use to work for Pioneer Work and Learn in Vassar before he was sent to Iraq. I would like to send sympathy to the family and feel sadden for the lost of another great soldier who fought for preserving freedom of United States.

I did not know Chris or his Family.. However I do know That my husband who is also a Marine bought him home.I pray that the family will be strong as I am sure Chris would want.
