Although the years have passed the memory of you shines brightly Ashly. I miss you with all of my heart. You were a great friend, a wonderful Soldier, and (more importantly) an amazing human being. Happy Angel day and I'll see you when I get there. I carry you with me in all that I do and will for as long as I have breath in my lungs.

How strange that I would reach into my pocket for my phone and this was popped up on my screen. It makes me feel like you are letting me know that you are close. Miss you every day I'm grateful for the blessing of having you in my life. We will see each other again

I read Ashlys story and was saddened that she gave the ultimate sacrifice so we could live in a free world. As time goes on I hope the pain and emptiness will ebb away from your hearts and they will heal. God bless the troops that fight for our freedom. I did not know your daughter, only what I read A young life that was ended too soon

I ran across your story by accident, while digging up some war stories of mine. I was just up the Road in Taji Iraq at the same time. I never met you but I know you are a hero and my Army sister. God bless you in heaven and god bless your family. Time sure flies... I will remember.

July 25, 2018

Ashley,
It's been 10 years since you were taken from us. I think about you from time to time. I'll never forget that smile, your spirit and our time together little sister. I was not able to say goodbye so I'll say it now. Good bye for now, I'll see you on the other side. I love and miss you.

Ashly,

Happy birthday kiddo! It's hard to believe that we met 14 years ago last week. You were a shy young Soldier sitting on a parking block in front of the unit in Horsham, PA, prior to deploying to GTMO. I can recall you telling me about your family and your "old job" at Domino's. I did not know it at the time, but that introduction would grow into a friendship that I will carry the remainder of my life. I was looking over some old photographs the other day and in nearly each one you are wearing your trademark CamelBack...in every one you have that larger than life smile! I miss having you around old friend, and I am sorry that I could not be there when you needed me. I look forward to the day where we meet again.

Humbly,

Phillip White

Ashly,

I carry your spirit with me each and every day. I have introduced you to many people who later tell me that in moments of adversity it is your story that inspires them to persevere on. I joined a few running groups a few years ago (Run to remember and RWB) and I run for you each and every week. I pledged and ran for you in the Run for a Soldier half-marathon a few months back. Each and every day I remember you and as I do I am comforted by the fact that you left me with a lifetime of memories. To say that I met you, to say that I know you and to say that I was able to share in those memories is a blessing I will forever appreciate.

Until we meet again,

Phil

Ashly,

I continue you to carry your spirit with me through everything I do. I honor you each week as I run with the "Run to Remember" and RWB groups! I recently was part of a "Run for a Soldier" half marathon where I ran in your honor. I have introduced you to a great number of people and you inspire all of those that learn of your humbled greatness. You are missed, yet you have left me (and many others) with a lifetime of memories and the fortunate blessing of being able to say we met you, we know you and we loved you.

Until we meet again,

Phil

Without a doubt, one stellar female soldier; and a soldier for sure. I remember in GTMO her throwing on her ruck and humping the hills with me to prove an MP could hang with the Infantry. She did quite well, I was impressed to say the least. Not to mention her continual attitude, a lively soul to be sure and it was my honor to consider her among my friends. To call her a brother, no greater honor could I conceive; and a brother she was.

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Moyer Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,

SGT Moyer, I remember sharing a house with you in Gitmo, you were only 19 then and the youngest person in the house. But you were the most focus driven. Then in 2007 when I was assigned to the unit you were in, in Bamberg, GM, I was shock to hear you had passed. I did not get a chance to say goodbye because you were deployed, and I was in the rear in GM. I pray that God will had His richest Blessing to your family and heal your mom's heart.

Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers ([email protected]) is an organization with groups throughout the country who strive to send handmade prayer shawls and/ or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA would like to honor your daughter's sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a shawl which we will mail to you. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected] with the names and addresses and what they would like to receive. We will send them as soon as possible. March 3, 2012

Ashly,

As time goes on, the memory of you and the pain I feel from you loss grows. After several depolyments myself I can't help but think that I am at fault for your death. I remember the conversations in the months prior your deployment and how you asked me to deploy with you once more. I feel guilty that I wasn't able to. Maybe I should have tried harder... I know if I would have been there you would still be here, be it that it we would have not been in that place or be it that you and I would have traded places. My heart goes out to your family. I remember meeting them after GTMO and seeing how proud they were of you. I watched you grow from a brand new Soldier to a leader and an amazing person. I am so proud of you. I am so sorry that I couldn't be to you in the end what you were to me. As my friend you always looked out for me...as your's I let you down. May God and your family forgive me. I love you and I miss you dear friend and I am comforted by the thought that I will see you some day. I will continue to think of you everyday and carry your memory forward in everything that I do. Rest well Ashly! I miss you so very much.

Moyer,
I just now heard about your death and I am very saddened. You were such a good soldier and I have so many memories of us hanging out in the barracks together. I also remember the guys didn't think you were strong because you were so little. But you sure showed them!! I think they were afraid of you! Lol!! I miss you battle buddy. I hope you are having a blast in Heaven. Tollefson from 3rd platoon is there too. Hope you two run into each other up there. Please send me a sign that you hear my message and that you are ok. Loyalty always battle buddy!!! Hooah!

Thinking of you and your family. I know they miss you so much. Just drove down by The Buckeye today past your highway marker on my way to the Macungie VFW to drop off our flag that was tattered so it could be disposed of properly. I had also gotten a flag out of someone trash still connected to the pole and took it to the VFW. You died for this flag and we owe you and this flag our respect. Lots of love to your family. Thank you for supporting our country. Lots of thanks to your family.

July 21, 2010

I go back and read all the articles just as I did at Cop Callahan wondering when the next time I was going to shower again but this time I am sitting behind a desk waiting for something better as my customers are/aren't making the decision to buy. I love every comment that every single person made. I try and push all these feelings down and try to hold back but I seem to every so often read my own words that I wrote years ago. It is absolutely incredible how I read 2 sentences into and I don't have to read anymore because I already know what it says. Reason being is because I still feel the same way and it hasn't skipped a beat and hasn't missed a minute of my life since you were killed. It's my birthday today and I just wanted to stop by and say I love you. There are many different kinds of love in this world and the one we shared will never match for anyone else. You and I will forever be no matter where I am or what I am doing. I share our story with everyone I come in contact with. You will always be loved and always be missed but just know that MY love for you is stronger than any force out there! I here the printer going, it sounds like my customers are going to buy this new car. Amazing how things work themselves out positively everytime you come in the picture. I can get up from behind my desk now, and continue day dreaming about you.
I love you princess... Remember our stars

I went to basic training with Ashley and we were rarely apart. I miss her and think of her at least once a day. To her family, I am so sorry. I can not imagine what it is like to not have her here. She was my friend and soulmate. My daughter carries her middle name and I can not wait to tell her one day of the honor it represents.

I think of you often...I think of your family often. I hope and pray all is well with them, I hope and pray that some of the pain has eased up a bit. I know the imprint you left on everyone's heart that has loved you will remain there until the end of time. Your service for all of us will not be forgotten.

We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families. War does not discriminate – It breaks my heart to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to you. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Over 1,400 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
Contact us directly at [email protected] or go to www.heropaintings.com. If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely,
Kenna

I wrote a poem for you today,
A story of love it went this way,
It happened a little late after dark,
I remember the first day you stole my heart,
In fact its the last place we met Dorney Park,
I'm waiting for mail call to find my letter,
Seeing your name with a heart made my day better,
Its so hard to believe that we fell out of touch,
After all we've been through I miss you so much,
I could go on all day and make this thing longer,
Keeping your spirit alive will make me stronger,
Wishing I could go back in time to look into your eyes,
It was because of you I gave it all them tries,
Words can't express the statement that you left behind,
Rest peacefully for your in our hearts, bodies, and minds!

I served with Ashly for a brief time with the 744th and during that time I learned Ashly was a wonderful person who became a soldier to make a difference. I just want to thank Ashly and her family for they will always be in my prayers. Ashly and the other brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice are true Heros.

Ashly... We are thinking about you, a Hero, being surrounded by all those Heroes who perished during Pearl Harbor on this day... Your sacrifice was not in vain. Our freedom comes to us thru' many Heroes' hearts. Thank you for your bravery and dedication. We keep your family members in our daily Rosary prayers, too.

Ashly, Ma'mam:
Today, 9-11-08, on this 7th anniversary of that horrible Tuesday morning, we relive the reason you fought for and died for our continued freedom in the USA. Surely you stand next to Jesus, completely understanding His mysterious ways. Thank you for your ultimate sacrifice and the sacrifice your family made.
