Hello,
We apologize for being so late in expressing our deepest condolences to you and your family. We want you to know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo, service branch, rank and hometown of Josiah D. Crumpler US Army Specialist.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families, friends and others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

To the family of Spc. Josiah Crumpler:
Please know that just as your loved one remains in your hearts and minds; his sacrifice, and that of your family, remains with the people he died defending. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for his bravery and selflessness, or the heartache we feel for your loss. God bless and keep you always.

Re: SPC Josiah Crumler
Hello,
I represent PRAYER SHAWLS 4 FALLEN SOLDIERS (PS4FS), an organization that since October 2007 has sent over 3,500 prayer shawls to military families who have lost a loved one. We are an organization of over 254 groups from all over the country. We make every effort to reach families even when post cards are returned after they have moved. Would you kindly send me a contact email/address so that we may send a loving hand-made prayer shawl to the family? Thank you!

Prayer for Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

For Josiah...
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Josiah will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you .

Our prayers & the prayers of so many of the homeschool community go out to the Crumpler family at this very sad time. Josiah made the truest sacrifice for his country, for all of us... he gave his life. We are honored to have had Joe to do what he was doing, serving our country, so that we have the rights to do the things we do. He is a hero! We will hold all of the Crumpler family in our hearts, thoughts & prayers!
Many prayers,

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to our Brother-in-Arms SPC Josiah Crumpler. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Josiah. And to Josiah it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Josiah, you are a brave American Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,353 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Josiah’s family and loved ones.

I am Deeply Saddened to learn of the loss of Spc Josiah Crumpler. The Price this Brave Young Soldier and his family have paid for this country and for freedom, Will Never Be Forgotten.
There will Never Be Enough Ways to Humbly Thank these Young Heroes for their Sacrifices, my brother among them, killed in action in Vietnam in 1967.
"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee."
~ Psalm 55:22 ~
I am sincerely hoping that you can feel the thoughts of caring and support that surround you today and in the difficult days ahead, as this Grateful Country mourns with you, for Someone Very Precious to you, Who Is A True American Hero to all of us.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Each of you are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you and praise our Lord for the blessing of meeting Josiah at Joy's wedding and spending a little time with him. I told Pastor Lee he was like an "old soul" so reflective and respectful, with eyes that twinkle like his momma's and a shy smile like his daddy's. What a blessing he was to those around him. May our Lord continue to hold you next to His heart and bring you comfort.
