Today is June 7 and soon it will be three months since Jake died. I've had many expressions of support and many stories told to me about Jake and his adventures, especially at the track or the gaming tables. I also hear from friends who didn't share that part of his life, and they are equally helpful to me in getting used to this life without him.
I just want all of you to know that I'm okay and he has a lovely spot in the New Albany Memorial Cemetery and his stone is already up. Believe it or not, the government had that job completed in about a month.
Hope all of you are well, and thank you for all the support. I'll post another message after the "Ahren Jacobson Memorial" day at Churchill Downs.

Our deepest sympathies for the loss of one of the kindest men I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I will always remember his stories and infinite wisdom about horses, blackjack and the world in general.
His memory will always make me smile!

I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to Pat and her family. It was just in December that I met Pat and Jake while sharing their tour with the Battle of the Bulge veterans. I think back often and fondly on our engaging discussions and on Jake's stories from the past. I will miss him.

Hello-
I met Jake many years ago when I started in our field. As you may remember he worked at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in his early career, and we still remember him.
We are sorry to hear of his passing and want his family to know that he is remembered.

I want everyone who signed Jake's guest book to know how much I appreciate your sharing memories with me and the family. I miss that larger-than-life presence in this house but it helps to know how many friends we have. Much love to all.

Thanks to all of you who have left a message. It's comforting to know so many people loved him, warts and all! He was a great guy whose absence leaves a huge hole in my world. Fortunately, I have good family and friends to help fill a piece of it. (And I sent this link to every one of you so we could share it.)
Love to all of you from Pat.

We are two of the fortunate people who have been blessed by the friendship of Aaron Jacobson for over 25 years. Our many wonderful fun days together and our continued relationship with Pat and the family will keep "Jake" alive in our hearts forever. He will truly be missed, especially when we hear "MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME" on Derby Day.

Pat, Mary and Ruth,
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Jake as such a fun person with a spunky sense of humor. If you remember, I got to work with him some at Frazier while I worked there several years ago. Even, then he always had a joke! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Pat and Family. The joy that Jake shared and energy he displayed on our tour gave me a great example of Americas Greatest Generation. I know you understand that. You will go on and live wonderful memories of his time on earth and the friendship we three developed.
May we always be in contact.
Have a glorious day. Gary

Dave and I were privileged to call this dear man a friend. We live 3 doors down from him and Pat, so we were lucky enough to have him for a neighbor. I'm going to miss running into Jake at the mailbox and watching the UL games together. I truly believe he's enjoying that great "boat" in the sky. Mimi
