Susan Brock

Susan Jablonski Brock, 59, of Randolph Street, Morganton, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at her residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Burke County, on Jan. 24, 1950, she was the daughter of Ruby Sims Jablonski of Morganton and the late Ted Jablonski. Susan was a caring and compassionate nurse. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa Johnston and her husband, Kenny, of Morganton; sons, Jonathan Black and Chris Brock and his wife, Torie, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Jacob Black, Konner Johnston, Erika Black and Brian Black; her long-time companion, Dean Winkler of Morganton; a sister, Sandy Wilson and her husband, Mark, of Charlotte; brothers, Phil Jablonski and his wife, Sharon, of Morganton and Gregg Jablonski of Shelby; and a special cousin, Faye Franklin of Morganton. The memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Wilson officiating.
