OUR BEAUTIFUL PRECIOUS JO - I LOVE YOU !! Our Family has Always been So BLESSED to be So Close - as though there is now time or distance between all of us. We all have been able to just start talking like it had only been hours and we only live down the road from each other. And we always could talk about anything to each other. You know I think Grandma Nannie was our guide and still is -she was always there for all or us-kept us close and together with so much love - Give her a Big Hug from Me. The last time you and I talked we laughed we cried but felt better and we hung up with our usual I LOVE YOU'S. I will always Cherish our Friendship. I know that we will All be Together Again one day but I will still miss you and I will still cry and there will be a void in my heart. And I will still talk to you often and I know You will listen and watch over me. You Rest Your Heart

Grandma I love you so much and I will miss you forever. It has been a hard week without you. You will never be forgotten , you touched the lives of everone that you knew. Some of the experiances that you encountered in you life time were better then anyone could wish for. You were truly amazing.

JoAnn changed my life one day at a wedding shower. We were discussing health issues common to women our age, and she looked at me with her sweet, lineless face, and said, "Why don't you go see April? She can take care of that." So I did, and have felt fabulous all the years since. JoAnn was a strong person and our world was better for having her in it.

Dear Kit,
I was so sad to hear about JoAnn's passing. She and I had just reconnected on Facebook and had been catching up with one another about our families. We wrote about our long marriages, our children, and your sweet grandchildren. I have such wonderful memories of JoAnn going back to Jefferson Junior High School. I'm grateful for those memories. Please accept my condolences.

Jo Ann, we love you and have such beautiful and fun memories with you and Kit. We are so sad we won't get to see your smile, but only in pictures. You were an inspiration in the way you lived your life and how you treated everyone you knew. You will always be in our hearts, but we will see you again someday.

I was very sad to have learned of Jo Ann's death. Memories of high school have been more and more frequent, she will be missed by her family and friends, and I am sorry I won't be able to see her again.

To Mrs. Enger, my saloon gal, who with but an innocent buss, liberated me from an awful union! Kit, there are no words deep enough to convey my sorrow for you and your family. Jo Ann was the Dorian Gray for females of our class, and will be sorely missed. We'll touch bases next week my friend!

My heart goes out to you Kit and your family. The loss is so great that it swallows you at times. Know that we are all thinking about what a wonderful lady Jo Ann was during this time of sorrow. When I remember Jo Ann I always think of a very classy, sweet girl that always took the time to talk to me as a shy, awkward young girl. I can only imagine the impact she has had in her lifetime. I am still in shock of your passing. When you have someone in your life over 54 years you somehow feel they will always be there. The first time I met JoAnn at Jefferson Jr High I new immediately that she was real extra special. she was always so sweet, smiled at everyone and always looked her best. I always felt extra privileged to be a part of her life. I had a crush on her but, it was Kit that won her heart and I knew back then they were a match made in Heaven. the world would be a better place with more JoAnn "Bond" girls in it. Heaven has a bigger/better job for her and she will do it well with honors. my heart and prayers go out to Kit and the family.

My heart is breaking as I read about Jo Ann's sudden passing. We met 25 years ago when our kids were in the same kindergarten class. In all those years, Jo Ann never changed- she remained the same beautiful,classy gracious, warmhearted Christian woman she was from day one. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and friends was without boundaries. She had a great love & concern for the youth of Carlsbad. She faithfully helped me for 20 years by serving as a member of the Carlsbad Police Dept. Juvenile Justice Diversion Program for first time offenders. Her sweet, soft spoken demeanor never failed to impress those in whom she came in contact with. She was truly one of God's Angel's. I loved Jo Ann, and feel blessed to have been her friend. I will miss her always. Our heartfelt condolences to her "Boys", beloved grandchildren & countless friends.

I am also beside myself...They are neighbors and I saw Kit in the garage and could not stop...I know I would have lost it. I have known JoAnn since I was 8 yrs old and use to go to her house and play dolls. We were in Blue Birds together, Camp Fire Girls, the same classes growing up, Glee Club in Jr. High, and friends but not as close by High School. As an adult we have seen each other from time to time at local OHS Alumni reunions, gatherings and get togethers. She was always cheerful, and had a graceful countenance. I could say I admired her beauty and effervesant personality. She was always pulled together, always poised...she was someone to look up to. I am only sorry I did not stop by, as she lived so close, and she was on my mind and in my heart. We have lost a true treasure and friend and I will miss her at future reunions. I am sad, very sad this day. My heart goes out to you, Kit and the children, grandchildren, and loved ones she leaves behind. Kit and family, I'm am so sorry for your loss, and for the pain and the hole that JoAnn's passing must have left. I enjoyed seeing you both at our 30-year OHS reunion a few years back. I was just amazed at how youthful and beautiful JoAnn looked after all these years. She possessed a warmth, and a joy of life and family that was unmistakeable. I want to express my deepest sympathies in this difficult time.

Although we will all miss her terribly keep in mind that it will only be "just for a while".....so until then keep the love and joy of having had her in our lives close to your heart and rejoice in the knowlege that we will all be together again in a place free of pain and disease.
