Joseph Burghard Thomas

THOMAS--Joseph Burghard, 92, passed away in Heathrow, Florida on August 27, 2007. Born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 5, 1914, he was the owner and president of the Weiffenbach Marble and Tile Company of Dayton, Ohio and the major benefactor and advocate for the American Hemochromatosis Society (www.americanhs.org) of Lake Mary, Florida, founded by his daughter, Sandra Thomas. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Josephine Bogie Thomas, who died from hemochromatosis in 1999. He is survived by close friend, David Geise Snyder, and his devoted and loving daughter, Sandra Ann Thomas.
